There wasn’t anything illegal about the proposed company on its fact. There probably should be, but there wasn’t. But what actually happened under the table seems highly illegal.

K I am not trying to besmirch the guy or his reputation at all, it just sounds shady from the outset to me and by his own admission it was clear from the outset that they were selling the “Biden name”. He said he invested money in the company knowing this?
I thought the most impactful part of the interview was his opinion that the Biden’s are compromised by China. These guys are playing a dangerous game - there is a lot of money involved with some very shady people!
As I observed in another thread, the issue is that Joe Biden was the Vice President at the time, taking money from the Chinese government being funneled through Jim Biden and Hunter Biden, right?
I don’t think that there is an issue with a private citizen taking money from the Chinese government, but I don’t know about that.
What I do know is that money being funneled to a sitting Vice President through his relatives from a government that wishes ill on us is a serious corruption issue.
Yes, the company was legitimate. However, it seems basically to have functioned through somebody knowing somebody (in the upper echelons of one or another government) and paying or pressuring for access.
I read a print-out of one of the longer emails - I think while Biden was still VP although towards the end - and it sounded as if our entire foreign policy was revolving around what would benefit Hunter Biden’s interests.
And he was a multi-country grifter - Ukraine and Eastern bloc, Russia, China...and it was pretty clear, I thought, that his “chairman” or “the Big Guy” was in on it too.
The key question is what did Joe do for these countries, particularly China, in exchange for them lining his family’s pockets? We have ample evidence now that Joe is lying about his knowledge and involvement, and we also have plenty of evidence that a variety of countries paid ridiculous sums of money to the loser drug addict Hunter, and through him and his uncle to Joe himself. These countries weren’t doing this in some inexplicable fit of generosity. They wanted something very valuable in return. Now we need to know what Joe did for them.
Whatever is was, it’s highly likely to be illegal if not outright treasonous.
