Me, too. We’ve had some really bad ice storms in the past. They were treacherous and one of them just ruined nearly every tree in town. They weren’t ready for it.

I spent Christmas of ‘98 in the dark due to an ice storm. I was lucky to be without power for only 5 days. Some sections of town waited 3 weeks to get it back on.
It was like the one you mentioned - - ruined nearly every tree in town.

A couple of the storm chasers’ videos looked about the same.

What a horrible way to spend Christmas...unless you had lots of candles to make it festive. How did you keep warm?

Worst Christmas ever! I had some candles but they didn’t make it festive at all.

I lived in layers of clothing for those 5 days and was I ever thrilled when I finally got to take a shower! LOL At least I didn’t have to worry about grossing out people at work. There was no power there either.

I can imagine that it was a very looooong 5 days. We take this amazing thing for granted.

It was an extremely looooong 5 days. I don’t know how those who waited 3 weeks for power managed to keep any sanity intact.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

I reckon you and Gizmo stayed home in front of the heater yesterday, didn’t you? Did you get any of the ice storm that hammered parts of OK? BRRRRRRRRRRR

Well, we did get to spend a few minutes at the lake but that was about it. No pics unfortunately. but I do have Gizmo resting in the guest room.

So far the worst of it has been across Central and SW OK. We'll see what happens today. Numerous power outages around Lawton and OKC.

Yep, Early Birds! It's COLD! LOL!
Just like that it became winter.
We've been having the frozen mix they promised.
The kitties aren't happy.
We're still colder than Anchorage!
All y'all have a Terrific Tuesday!
((((hugs))))

My dad flew off carriers as a Marine pilot and my uncle flew Huey’s there as well.
