U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams on Monday warned 12 states that “things aren’t looking up for Thanksgiving dinner” as the federal government continues to fight the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus.
In a tweet, Dr. Adams suggested three precautions to take to against the virus — mask-wearing, hand-washing, and social distancing — to increase the chances of what he described as having a “safe” Thanksgiving holiday. He directed the note of caution to Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, and Wisconsin.

With the possible exception of Wisconsin, and even that is dicey for Biden, not one state really expected to vote for Biden. Well, isn't that convenient! /s
Keep in mind that this is the same guy who, back in March was adamant against wearing masks, and now demands you wear one.
Ditto that...
When’s the last time you treated a covid patient, Jerome? Or any patient of anything for that matter.

I was actually expecting to see more swing states on this list.
At this point, the guy still thinks he needs to touch on
masks, hand washing, and social distancing?
Some of these guys just talk because they like the sound
of their own voice.
Dammit, guess I will have to miss the inlaws dinner this year.
It makes me so sad that there are actually people in this country who let these people dictate to them.
My very large extended family will be having Thanksgiving as usual. Anyone who feels they are at risk, and not comfortable with gathering, will of course stay home.
My 75 yo mother has lived her life as usual, had covid, kicked its butt, and is enjoying life!
We have canceled Thanksgiving this year.
We are all getting together for a peaceful protest instead.
Are they ordering us not to have Thanksgiving? Just leave us ALONE!
It is a virus it spreads..these people are fools...
Make them define “safe”.
We’re not having Thanksgiving this year. We’re having a mostly peaceful protest.
On my way home CDA,Idaho, I didn’t see anyone wearing masks except store employees. It was so refreshing.
How do we get the turkey and gravy through grandma’s mask? Can’t help her because we are 6 feet away. Maybe we just put the elderly into tight nursing homes so we don’t have to worry about love or companionship at all. That way they can die alone surrounded by people in hazmat suits. After all they did for us.
With turkey, I assume. You cannot have a peaceful protest without turkey, and cranberries, and mashed potatoes, and gravy. The tryptophan in turkey keeps it peaceful. Apple or pumpkin pie helps with keeping people on topic during the protest as well.
So, cops will be going house to house on Thanksgiving? Will they arrest us? What’s the fine? How much jail time?

We’re having our usual gathering. We’ve all been sharing the same germs for many DECADES now.
