In The Plot Against the President, her remarkable new feature documentary now streaming on Amazon Prime, producer-director Amanda Milius (daughter of Hollywood legend John Milius) does a solid job explaining the Byzantine "Russiagate" hoax and how it was used to sabotage and undermine President Trump in his first term.
It's a story you won't see on Frontline or 60 Minutes, and clearly a must-see documentary for anyone interested in the real scandal behind the impeachment of President Trump.
Personally, I found it depressing to watch the corruption, dishonesty, and striking lack of basic patriotism manifested at so many intelligence, foreign policy, and national security agencies including the FBI, CIA, NSA, State Department, as well as in the media and Democratic Party.
Cong. Devin Nunes (R-CA) is certainly the hero of this tale, based on Lee Smith's book subtitled: "The True Story of How Congressman Devin Nunes Uncovered the Biggest Political Scandal in U.S. History."
Smith is interviewed, instead of the narrator — because there is no narration. Instead, the structure is polyphonous, with testimony from multiple witnesses, like Rashomon. It works.

It’s very good. Very logical and straightforward. My husband and I watched yesterday. We knew the basic facts around all this, but learned more about the background and the process to uncover the truth. I’ve always liked Nunes, but my respect for him is even greater after viewing this film.
Watched this two days ago EXCELLENT!!! Left a really sick feeling in my stomach, the only way to fix this is to break up DC transfer whole departments across the country divide and conquer!! This BEAST is out of control AND I don’t want to live in Venezuela twhat is happening here is just how it started there!,

It IS saddening. What really bothers me the most is how few Americans really understand how deep the swamp is. Far too many are still dependent on the MSM. If you and I only watched the MSM, we too would probably believe Trump is a misogynist, racist, homophobic monster. What Trump does—the stuff the media refuses to cover—points to the complete opposite.
I kid you not. This elderly Biden vote is real and a number of them are thoroughly propagandized. My own mom has voted Republican her entire life, but she is now thoroughly convinced Trump is evil incarnate and Kamala is sweet. She has zero interest in the internet and doesn’t want to learn how to use a smart phone or tablet. All she sees is the nightly news.
Oh, I’m a military retiree who told her flat out Trump has done great things for vets and totally supports the military. Nope! “He called us losers!” There’s no reaching people like her.
(I love and respect my mom but it’s infuriating the way the MSM lies to her and other elderly folks like her. You better believe everyone in her assisted care facility is voting, too.)
