Facebook Prepares Measures for Possible Election Unrest. Tools include slowing the spread of certain posts and tweaking users’ news feeds

Facebook Inc. teams have planned for the possibility of trying to calm election-related conflict in the U.S. by deploying internal tools designed for what it calls “at-risk” countries, according to people familiar with the matter.

The emergency measures include slowing the spread of viral content and lowering the bar for suppressing potentially inflammatory posts, the people said. Previously used in countries including Sri Lanka and Myanmar, they are part of a larger tool kit developed by Facebook to prepare for the U.S. election.

Facebook executives have said they would only deploy the tools in dire circumstances, such as election-related violence, but that the company needs to be prepared for all possibilities, said the people familiar with the planning.

The potential moves include an across-the-board slowing of the spread of posts as they start to go viral and tweaking the news feed to change what types of content users see, the people said. The company could also lower the threshold for detecting the types of content its software views as dangerous.

Deployed together, the tools could alter what tens of millions of Americans see when they log onto the platform, diminishing their exposure to sensationalism, incitements to violence and misinformation, said the people familiar with the measures. But slowing down the spread of popular content could suppress some good-faith political discussion, a prospect that makes some Facebook employees uneasy, some of the people said.

“We’ve spent years building for safer, more secure elections,” Facebook spokesman Andy Stone said. “We’ve applied lessons from previous elections, hired experts, and built new teams with experience across different areas to prepare for various scenarios.”

Facebook already has critics from both political parties, and any widespread attempt to regulate content is likely to provoke further scrutiny.

Many believe that the upcoming November 3 election in the United States is the most important election since 1860 or perhaps in its history. The evidence supports this.

Catholic Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, once the Apostolic diplomat to the U.S., recognizes the perilous nature of the 2020 presidential election. He recently said that in this election the American people face a “biblical” challenge “against the demonic forces of the deep state and against the New World Order.”[i]

The September 24, 2020 Washington Times article quoted the archbishop as saying that the “Presidential elections in November represent an epochal challenge, a biblical challenge, the outcome of which will be decisive not only for the United States of America but for the whole world.”[ii]

Is the Catholic Archbishop’s assessment accurate? Is President Trump correct when he says that if the Democrats prevail in November, they will bring their socialistic and communistic agenda to America?

I believe they both are absolutely correct in their assessment of the peril facing the United States. Please allow me to explain why I agree with them.

THE ANTI-GOD AGENDA OF THE DEMOCRATS Both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris support abortion up to the moment of birth, which includes the horrific partial birth abortion. Harris has repeatedly voted against legislation that would protect babies after birth. Together they form the most pro-abortion presidential ticket in American history. I cannot regard their fanatical support of abortion along with the vile practices of Planned Parenthood as anything else than anti-God and demonic. I do not know how else to describe such rabid determination to murder precious unborn children.

The Biden/Harris war against God was also on display at the October 15 ABC town hall with Joe Biden. During the town hall Biden included eight-year-old children in his pro transgenderism agenda proclaiming their right to change genders. Such a viewpoint attacks God and opposes all that He reveals in His Word regarding creation and the family.

In 2018, Joe Biden described conservative Christians who oppose the LGBT agenda as “the dregs of society.” Biden and those who control him exhibit a clear and undeniable antagonism toward God, the Bible, and those who follow Jesus. Why are so many believers willing to vote for someone who hates both them and the One they claim to worship?

THE DEMOCRATS ADVOCATE A MARXIST’ REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH Tom Klingenstein, in his excellent video called Trump 2020 A Man vs. A Movement, stated that “this election is a contest between two competing regimes or ways of life that cannot exist peacefully together.” He described the Democrat agenda as a true “revolution” aimed at overthrowing the American founding.”

Klingenstein said that the “multicultural” objective of the Democrats “requires a never-ending redistribution of wealth and power” the likes of which “can only be achieved by a tyrannical government and like in all tyrannies, one where dissenters are silenced.”[iii]

Is this not exactly what we already see from the left in our country? Just this past week we saw the media shut down a well-documented story of the greed and corruption within the Biden family. Twitter has locked out several conservative voices in the past several days.

Radio host Mark Levin recently warned that Joe Biden’s “joint political platform with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) amounts to a ‘communist manifesto’ that will destroy every aspect of American culture and society.” Levin also added, “Most people haven’t taken time to read the 110-page communist manifesto . . . . They’re going to implement it. Every aspect of this culture and society is going to be turned on its head, and I don’t mean it in a good way.”[iv]

When one looks at the details of the New Green Deal and the accompanying Agenda 2030 at the UN, one thing jumps out, they are all about a massive redistribution of wealth with a Marxist government in charge of who gets what in the New World Order.

THE BLM/DEMOCRATS ARE ORCHESTRATING VIOLENCE IN THE U.S. Kamala Harris, along with senior staffers on the Biden campaign team, helped raise thirty-five million dollars to help bailout BLM and Antifa rioters in Minneapolis. Many of Harris’ tweets encourage the violence on our streets by these groups although Biden says the radical group known as Antifa is only an “idea.”

In a recent late-night interview on television, Kamala Harris boasted that “protests” will not stop before or after the election. The message was clear, Biden’s running mate was encouraging the lawlessness and violence of the BLM and Antifa and adding her blessing to their destruction of lives and property under the guise of “protests.”

The BLM founders publicly declare their Marxist roots and describe how witchcraft and demon possession play a large part in their activities. Some regard me as a relic of the past for saying that the BLM is Marxist, but I have watched videos where the founders and leaders of the BLM proudly proclaim that they are “trained Marxists” and dependent on the spirits of those long dead.

In front of cameras, Joe Biden bowed his knee to the BLM movement demonstrating his full support of their radical message and violent methods.

The evil nature of the BLM was on full display last month in the attack on two sheriff deputies as they sat in their car. The orchestrated attack consisted not only of the shooting, but also of BLM members blocking the entrance to the hospital of the ambulances carrying the deputies.

THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM Could what we see now be a “relative” calm before the storm? Perhaps.

Tyler Durden, in his article 7 Predictions: How 2020 Comes to an End, wrote about violence he sees coming after President Trump wins re-election. He wrote the following about what will happen after the November election is hotly contested by Democrats:

While Marxists in Congress are messing with the electoral process, Marxists on the streets (Antifa and BLM) will intensify their violence by burning, looting, and murdering even more than what we’ve seen to this point. . . . Not only do the puppet masters want all the street chaos to distract our attention from what’s going on in the electoral process, the street Marxists see this election as their only chance to either grab power or put up with Trump for four more years. The protestors have been trained to instigate violence, and copy-cat wannabes will want to join in. . .

To perpetuate the riots, puppet masters like George Soros will continue pouring money into organizations that fund them. Also remember that Antifa and BLM have threatened to go into the suburbs. Their purpose for doing so is to trigger the Soccer Moms who wants peace at all costs. Marxists will hope that these suburban moms will apply pressure on their elected representatives to give in to the Marxists so the violence will end. Life on American streets will be unpredictable and dangerous.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry said that if President Trump wins in November, there will be a revolution. I tend to believe him in this regard. I have heard more than one person describe the riots and violence of this past summer as a dress rehearsal for what is coming after the election.

After the 2016 election, the coup attempt to remove the President Trump from office was political. It will turn bloody this November should he win re-election.

I believe that a landslide victory by President Trump along with Republican victories that sweep many of the BLM/Democrats out of office might mitigate the some of the violence that awaits our nation later this fall, but I do not think such an overwhelmingly victory will happen on November 3. We still face much peril as a nation.

THE PERIL FACING AMERICA Catholic Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò precisely sums up my concern for the United States. This election is between the American people and “against the demonic forces of the deep state and against the New World Order.”

It’s clear to many that Joe Biden is not in control of his campaign or his agenda. It’s amazing how a candidate for the presidency can spend so much time in his basement, lack any sign of energy, be caught lying about his involvement son’s illegal and disgraceful connections with Ukraine and China, continually display a decided diminishing of mental function, and still remain a viable candidate. It’s more than a little bizarre; it’s totally mind-boggling!

Joe Biden is a puppet of the deep state in America who see him as the best path to lure unsuspecting Democrats to vote for a radical agenda they will hate once it comes to fruition. It’s the globalists’ attempt to put a moderate face on a dark agenda that seeks to subjugate America to a Marxist totalitarian regime, but will they succeed?

Those promoting the New World Order, or The Great Reset as the World Economic Forum calls it, are some of the richest and most powerful people in the world. As I have written about in a previous article, their intent is to use climate alarm and the COVID-19 crisis to bring about their desired Marxist utopia where they will control all the people of the world. Please do not underestimate these people, they are evil to the core and have formidable allies with incredible influence in America and throughout the world.

If these elite globalists put their puppet in the White House, the task of implementing The Great Reset will be easy although it may not happen immediately. If President Trump wins re-election, they will seek to overthrow the government of the United States and a duly elected President.

Much peril lies ahead for the United States regardless of who wins the November 3 election in the United States, but there’s great news for those of us who belong to Christ.

THE GOOD NEWS FOR THE SAINTS As I said in my previous post, if not for biblical prophecy I might lose my sanity (although some think this has already happened).

The Bible long ago predicted that the New World Order taking shape before our eyes would happen in the last days. Scripture says that the coming antichrist will make a covenant with Israel and others but break the deal at the midpoint of the seven-year tribulation. By that time, this lawless one of 2 Thessalonians 2:3-8 will be in a position to control the buying and selling of everyone on planet earth (Rev. 13:16-18). We see this taking shape right before our eyes as I have shared in a previous post!!

However, the Bible assures New Testament saints of deliverance and victory.

Our deliverance begins with our departure from this world before God’s judgments fall on the Christ-rejecting world. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 says this, “For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” The wrath referenced in this verse is that of the sudden destruction that initiates the day of the Lord (see 1 Thess. 5:3).

We may see these “perilous times” grow more intense and witness increasing deadly violence before Jesus comes for us, but rest assured He is coming, and it might be very soon.

The other aspect of the good news is this: Jesus will destroy Satan’s man, the antichrist, and his kingdom at His return and establish His reign of righteousness upon the earth (2 Thess. 5:8; Rev. 19:11-20:10). Jesus will destroy all the wickedness we currently see in our world.

I do not know for sure what will happen in November or during the remainder of 2020. I suspect we will see much violence and possibly a civil war in the United States. I will pray, vote, and continue to voice my opinion against the Marxist agenda of the Democrats and their BLM allies. After that, I must leave the rest in the hand of my sovereign and all-powerful God.

Yes, it’s more than a little scary when we think of the violence that might lie ahead for America, a possible stolen election, and the fervent aspirations of the radical left backed by some of the richest, most powerful, and most influential people in the world. They will stop at nothing in their quest to implement the New World Order.

But God! But God alone is sovereign (Psalm 46:10) and we can know that incredible and astonishing joy lies ahead in eternity for all those who know Jesus as their Savior. Our amazing future adventure begins with our departure from this world (John 14:2-3; 1 Thess. 4:13-18), which may happen very, very soon.

There’s victory and much excitement ahead for those of us securely in Christ that will far exceed any experience we have had so far on earth.
