The pandemic is accelerating as the United States climbs the third peak of Covid-19 infections that public health experts have been warning about, the latest NBC News analysis revealed Wednesday.

In the last two weeks, the 781,142 confirmed cases of coronavirus reported nationwide was an 18.5 percent jump over the previous two weeks, the figures showed.

And in four of the last seven days there were more than 60,000 cases reported -- something that has not happened since the end of July.

Correct. It’s mostly the youngsters - at bars and back in school, but big drop in deaths.

The key is socializing outdoors as long as possible.

Everyone—buy heat lamps!

US deaths have ticked up in the last week about 5-10%.

Europe cases have DOUBLED and daily death rates exceed the US for the first time since June.

But Sweden seems to be doing okay.

Deaths always trail by about a month, and the upward trend of new cases started just over a month ago. The past three days have seen a definite increase on daily deaths. It’s not going to be as high of a fatality rate as the first wave, but we will likely go back above 1,000 deaths/day just in time for the election. As much as we want it to go away, the current daily fatality rate is about 1.5% of “daily new cases”, so as we hit 75,000 new cases per day, we will also hit 1,000 deaths per day, and the news media will scream about the massive 2nd wave.

Trust the Sciencefictionists. We need to double triple down on masks, bring back the lockdowns and we need more testing more testing and more testing.

Right. Cases without serious consequences indicate the virus is dying out.

Take pandemic out of the equation.. take any other year.. school starts.. weather changes and colds and flu escalates.. elderly get sick and some die..
take the word out and its what happens in our world.. some years are worse than others.. its what happens.

One year I had 4 sick kids at home and one after another, I didnt get out of the house for 3 months.. taking care of kids with flu... it takes time to run its course.

Re: 18.5 percent jump over the previous two weeks

How much did the number of tests increase?

18.5%?

More than 18.5%?

Also, how much did the fraudulent COVID fatality numbers go up?

Fraudulent? Believe it.

100% of fatalities involving COVID + pneumonia are classified as COVID fatalities.

100% of fatalities involving COVID + ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome) are classified as COVID fatalities.

How does that counting method compare with influenza?

Less than 10% of fatalities involving influenza + pneumonia and influenza + ARDS are classified as influenza fatalities.

If CDC counted influenza deaths the same way they count COVID deaths, we would have 200,000 influenza deaths - every year.

Big Furry Deal.

The lock downs and such did not make the virus go away. It just took potential hosts out of the population for a short while.

This is good, because Biden supporters skew COVID paranoid, meaning they won’t show to vote if there’s a threat.
