This is very real. My little village in Bavaria is being devastated. Practically the whole soccer team is down, virtually every attendant at a local wedding is infected, my next-door neighbor is a cop, he is sick.

Germany had been losing about 120 people per million to the virus while in the states more than 600 per million were dying. We shall see if those numbers trend towards evening out.

I live south of Stuttgart, the uptick is noticable here. Over the past few weeks traffic has been increasing during the morning rush hour, now it is declining again.

The increase in cases in the German population is being mirrored in the American military community as well.
