The Marine Corps has removed its commanding general in Europe and Africa while he is under investigation for reportedly using racial slurs.

Maj. General Stephen Neary, a two-star general, was relieved of his duties on Monday due to a "loss of trust and confidence in his ability to serve in command," the Marine Corps said in a statement obtained via email by The Hill.

Stars and Stripes reported earlier this month that Neary was under investigation for reportedly using racial slurs when referring to African Americans.

You can’t lead men who don’t respect you. They won’t respect you if you insult their heritage.

I agree with that, but then again, how many marines have you met with pristine oral acumen?

Stars and Stripes reported earlier this month that Neary was under investigation for reportedly using racial slurs when referring to African Americans.

The incident occurred in August, when he made a comment about the music a group of Marines were listening to during an outdoor training session, according to Stars and Stripes.

Some of the music incorporated the n-word, which allegedly prompted Neary to ask other marines how they would feel if he said it.

Unless the guy was spouting KKK talking points at the base kindergarten class, I prefer the Marines not be concerned about politically correct wokeness. Their talk is supposed to be rough.

“You can’t lead men who don’t respect you. They won’t respect you if you insult their heritage.”

Appears the general challenged music glorifying thug heritage - music that contained the hated n word that incorporates two consonants.

Leftwing political correctness is out of control! It appears Gen. Neary was overruled by his own command's political commissar.

Write, Fax or somehow contact this man.
David Hilberry Berger is a United States Marine Corps general currently serving as the 38th (Commandant of the United States Marine Corps.)

Also to blame is the reporter for the Stars and Stripes who reported this making it sound far worse than it is.

........this one stinks! I suspect over-reaction by higher up brass or some higher up brass had it in for General Neary.

From what I read, the General just asked a very pertinent question. His seniors should grab some sack and back him up rather than PC’ng the man into retirement.

Since when is playing music with vulgarities considered professional in the work place? If the good general is going to hang so should the so-called Marines who complained about this.
