'Russia lie' doomed Durham investigation
World Net Daily ^ | Oct 16, 2020 | Staff

Posted on 10/17/2020 7:59:13 AM PDT by ptsal

When Republicans conceded that Russia meddled in the 2016 election, it gave the likes of former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former FBI Director James Comey an alibi for their otherwise unfounded investigation of the Trump campaign.

Failure by Design

"This insidious false flag operation continues to do political damage to President Trump because those in power have been duped by The Russia Lie."

Don't buy this line of thinking. They weren't duped, they were participating in the plot. Both sides wanted Trump gone. The GOP played their role where they claimed to support him but criticized him and accused him at the same time, the dems played their role where they said he was the most corrupt ever. Wray stonewalled and Barr, a better actor, pretended to be a tough guy committed to getting to the bottom of it and commissioning a fake investigation that never ends and never comes to any results.

None of them want the truth, they all want the truth hidden. And they are getting their way.

The truth is that our country is run by a collection of scumbag grifters on both sides and they cannot let that gravy train end.

What has happened is that the generic “Russian interference” (which happens ALL the time) was used to conflate with the lie that Hillary and the DNC put out to create the Russian collusion hoax.

As always, the ignorant or compliant Republicans acceptance of this narrative gives cover to the conspirators to pull this whole thing off. The end result is that a huge amount of our population actually believe that the Trump campaign conspired with the Russians to “steal” the election from Shrillary.

Ok this is silly. Some internet ads or tweets supposedly by Russia have nothing to do with investigating a major party presidential candidate.

It’s like saying Republicans conceded murder happens, so it’s a good excuse to investigate Trump for murder.

Not.

BRAVO SIERRA! There is still no excuse for having made the Trump campaign -- or Trump himself -- the target of such an investigation.

Nor is there any excuse for having committed fraud on the FISA Court with multiple bogus warrant requests -- based on a plan and phony dossier made & paid for by HRC.

The RINOS/NeverTrumpers have proved nothing that justified CIA/FBI spying on Americans or any of the sleazy tactics involved -- including falsifying evidence or using the CIA's HAMR.

Nor was there any excuse but partisan politics & mal-use of the Legal system -- for what was -- and is still being -- done to LTG Flynn.

Turn off your Never-Trumper and RINO glee-spigot -- and help POTUS Trump get re-elected!

What a load of crap! If its doomed, then why hasn't Durham wrapped up the investigation, rather than sitting on it and covering it up? If he took all this to a grand jury, where the the refusials to indict? Durham is a deep state hack, like Cheeseburger Barr. Corrupt to the bone!

The ROLCON trolls are out in force this morning trying to muddy the waters of authenticated corruption by the Democrat candidate for President, Joe Biden.

Americans have been made fools of by our rulers. There never was any intention of uncovering the truth. Instead, they have pitted us against each other, destroyed the economy and turned us into sheep, eager to accept the latest dictatorial edict.

The only question remaining is: will we accept our fate?

Senator Burr of NC was Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee during the Russian investigation. Being viewed as bipartisan was more important to him than finding the truth, which he likely knew. Plus he apparently was taking full advantage of the Congressional exemption from insider stock trading exemption.

By the way, how are the Senate Ethics Committee and DOJ investigations of Burr’s insider trading going? Isn’t it strange media interest has disappeared and there are no demands for his resignation from Democrats? The swamp is deep and protective.

I am generally not much of a fan of WND, but this is an excellent piece that raises a point I have been making for a long time.

Where is the evidence of real Russian interference?

Our side, even Nunes, Jordan, and other firebrands, have also parroted the “of course Russia interfered in the election” shtick from the beginning.

Where is the proof? It has been investigated aggressively and still we have no proof, but it is so baked into the cake now that 90% of America believes it.

Once you accept the lie, as the editors here point out, there is no crime.

Orwell nor Tom Clancy could have ever dreamed up such effective fiction. You almost have to admire how effective it is even if it entirely depended upon a willing and complicit media to carry it out.

Gear up the IRS and go after the money-handling crimes. It is time to revisit the story of Al Capone.

The laws, regulations, and investigators are already in place.

The rest of this Durham crap is just a sound-bite for the evening news.

I'm thinking it stalled because a few Republican names surfaced (ahem, Lindsey Graham) and it was more prudent to wait until after the election and the nomination.
