New Mexico House District 15 needs conservative representation

have noticed that the closer we get to the election, the more hateful the rhetoric from the opposing party becomes. I must be doing something right if my adversary is working so hard to make me look bad. I have been portrayed as heartless and as a person who doesn’t care about children or workers. In reality, I am an educator who actually left the profession to do something more for “my kids.” That is why I am running – for our future generations.

I am proud to be endorsed by the New Mexico Right to Life Committee, the New Mexico Alliance for Life and the National Rifle Association. I received an A” rating from the N.M. Business Coalition. I believe these endorsements show where I stand on several issues.

Where does my opponent (Rep. Dayan Hochman-Vigil) stand? Let’s look at her voting record:

• She voted for multiple tax hikes, increasing the cost of government, across the board – at a time when the state enjoyed a budget surplus. In addition, she voted to take money away from students and teachers and create a slush fund for the governor and legislators to do with as they please, without transparency.

She voted to keep in place a state law that will allow abortions, including late-term and up-to-birth, should Roe v. Wade be overturned. She has said nothing against abortion clinics being open during the COVID-19 pandemic for on-demand abortions, while the lifeblood of our economy and society – small business, family-owned restaurants and churches – have been arbitrarily shut down by the governor. She has done nothing to save the businesses that have been closed, many never to reopen.

• She voted for the “red flag” law, which places restrictions on the right of New Mexicans to defend themselves in a state with some of the worst crime rates in the nation. Whose side is she on?

Minor leagues. NM-2(congress) is the one. Trump won the district by 10 percentage points and XochitlTorres Small snuck in by less than 2% in 2018.
