Governor Charlie Baker on Wednesday reaffirmed that he will not vote for President Trump, a fellow Republican, though he declined to discuss how he might cast his ballot.
Asked by a reporter during a State House news conference how he would vote in the Nov. 3 presidential election, Baker declined to answer. Later in the day, his office issued a statement.
“The governor cannot support Donald Trump for president and is focused on seeing Massachusetts through the pandemic. He’ll leave the election analysis to the pundits,” Baker’s office said.

I divorced my Karen. A couple of weeks ago she was all weepy and asked me about what went wrong with us and I told her that one of the reasons I gave up was that she just didn’t like me, hated everything I believed in, and that when I complained about the H1-B foreign invasion affecting my IT career she told me to get over it. I said the when she decided that she was going to leave out all that crap made me think that it wasn’t worth trying to convince her not to move out.

My basis for this is my Kalifornian sister that claims to be a Republican, but every thing coming out of her mouth is a democrat talking point.

All I have to do is keep working on myself and my relationship with my kids, which has never been better. My kids are at wits end, and I offered to put them up here. Two are 19, but the Chinese bioweapon has them stuck for the moment. The other is 17 and about to graduate, although in actual point of fact he graduated the moment they shut the schools down.

I guess it was imposed on my like a shiny new bike at Christmas. Now I’m dating, and the dumbassery I witness among those women 40 and up is, well, the only thing you can call it is schadenfreude.
Been dating one now for over two years, and like clockwork, she’s getting complacent.
It’s unfortunate, you can’t be a nice guy and date. No matter what, if you are nice and can’t help it, you learn to adapt that to compensate for their nature. Doesn’t mean you don’t become nice, it just that you have to tamp that aspect down to keep them around.

Very sorry to hear about your divorce. My 2nd son (age 22) is a conservative and wears a Trump hat but I’m worried about the fact that he’s seriously dating a liberal (although I like her). I think it’s just hard to find conservative women where he lives (SF Bay Area).
You are right—there needs to be some commonality, politically. My best friend of 20 years won’t talk to me until after the election I’m sure. I sadly think she just doesn’t like me anymore. Her TDS is too high. I’ve always been GOP though; I haven’t changed.
On the other hand, my inlaws have been married for 60 years and always voted opposite: cheerfully “cancelling out each other’s votes.” Until Trump—then my mother in law voted for Trump for the first time. Now their votes align.
You seem like a great guy and I hope you find a new conservative girlfriend soon. Sorry—I am taken! :)
