I have an actual acquaintance on FB, known him since high school, who a few years ago “came out” and specifically REJECTED and denounced his previous homosexuality.

95% of his “friends” either completely rejected his statement (though NONE said he was forever wicked/cursed), or condescended to tell him he was hiding from his true self/feelings, etc.
