Pennsylvania’s Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf on Tuesday called for marijuana use to be legalized, which he said could help shore up the state’s economy.

Wolf said on Twitter that he would be renewing calls on the state legislature to legalize adult-use to provide a new revenue stream as the state battles a multibillion-dollar coronavirus-related budget deficit.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Wolf acknowledged that so far there has been no movement among Pennsylvania lawmakers to advance corresponding legislation.

He should legalize heroin and meth. That’s where the real cash is at.

California (IIRC) did the same thing a few years ago. The boys and girls in Sacramento were drooling at the thought of incoming tax revenue.

But guess what happened?

A lot of people started growing it and distributing it illegally in order to avoid paying taxes.

The same will happen in Pennsylvania.

That's the ticket. Getting everyone stoned should fix the economy.
Now why didn't I think of that?

“A lot of people started growing it and distributing it illegally in order to avoid paying taxes.”

Pretty sure they’ve been growing it and distributing it illegally for a long time before it was legalized.

I don’t think Wolf cares one bit about legalizing weed. I do think legalizing weed is all his commie loving lieutenant governor Fetterman has cared about since the last election and there is probably an agreement with the Lt. Gov. That he’ll play nice by the Governor if Wolf pushes for legalizing weed. If not, Fetterman would probably have enough leverage by now to really hurt Wolf and possibly the state Democrat party.

Let’s see...Take a stupid idea that’s not generating tax dollars in other Liberal states and double down on it!

That’s the ticket!

Socialist Democrats are clueless and and have NO IDEA what propels and sustains a healthy, vibrant economy.

Hint: It AIN’T locking down your population and throwing away the key!

LIBERATE WISCONSIN! LIBERATE AMERICA!

No kidding. I’ve yet to hear of a state that has reaped any real benefits from legalization.

California is performing helicopter targeted raids in the Hunboldt area for ‘clandestine’ grows that circumvent the revenue powers of the State.

It didn’t work with allowing grocery stores to sell alcohol and it didn’t work with gambling. Wolf is a dangerous tool and needs to be removed.

I hunt in NYS on the PA border. We buy our beer in ny and everything else in PA. (We don’t drink beer till AFTER we’re done hunting for the day).

So you are saying we can buy beer in supermarkets now in PA?
