Yeah, mittens, because if the hatred for Trump is expressed in your “kinder, gentler way, it’s more civilized.

I guess Romney doesn’t remember being called a racist way back in the 2012 election. If he had recognized that the days of the “spirited debate” had long passed away with how the Democrats conducted themselves, he might have been more successful in his Presidential run. All in all, Obama did us a favor in kicking McCain’s and Romney’s butts though. It showed us things are not “politics as usual” and Trump understood that shift clear back when it was happening.

Guess I have to agree with Mutt. As long as he’s in it, politics will be vile and vituperative and he’s certainly made me hate his morass.

If Romney had only been in a position to run for President and put forward these well thought out views he obviously would have been elected. Alas, “the man” kept him down and he was not allowed to run./S

He’s done his part to make it that way. How about Mitt’s vile, insanely jealous meeting and press conference to spew criticisms of Trump when he was running in 2016? Envy distorts your thinking, Bishop.

Listen to Harry Truman: if you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Why not do everyone a favor and retire?

Biden is the one who told the President , “why don’t you shut up, clown” during a national debate. Nothing vile or hate-filled about that, huh, Romney?

Funny. Romney is the very definition of vile. A man out for himself and only himself. But you can get away with all sorts of vile as long as you don't sound lower-class on Twitter, eh Romney? Because after all, it's what you sound like that really counts.

What a gutless spineless weasel.

When he had a chance to spare us an Obammy, he caved.

Why should anyone listen to anything he says now?

Nothing more than a China puppet.

Oh, Heavens! Pierre dislikes “vile” politics (and favors the more genteel practice of quietly and politely giving away the store). ESAD, Mitt.

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan Starts Blank-Check Company

Executive Network Partnering will seek to raise roughly $300 million in an initial public offering

Aug. 20, 2020

Paul Ryan, the consummate Washington negotiator, is trying his hand at another kind of deal making, jumping into the rush on Wall Street toward blank-check acquisition companies.

The former House speaker will serve as chairman of a vehicle known as Executive Network Partnering Corp., which will seek to raise roughly $300 million in an initial public offering, people familiar with the deal said. That figure is subject to change based on demand.

(snip)

Also known as special-purpose acquisition companies, they turn the traditional IPO model on its head by going public before acquiring a business. They have gained popularity as deal makers look to take advantage of the economic dislocation caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

(snip)

Alex Dunn, the former president of security company Vivint Smart Home Inc., will serve as chief executive of the new SPAC. Solamere Capital, run by Sen. Romney’s son Taggart, will be the main sponsor.

Founded in 2008 by Tagg Romney, Eric Scheuermann, and Spencer Zwick, and in partnership with Mitt Romney (who stepped down in 2019 to join the U.S. Senate)...

Before joining Vivint, Alex started and ran two successful venture-backed companies, and served as Chief of Staff and COO to Governor Mitt Romney in Massachusetts. Alex has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University.

Republican Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah is stressing that the country’s politics has “moved away from the spirited debate to a vile, vituperative, hate-filled morass that is unbecoming of any free nation.”

___________________________________________________

Fools like Romney engaged in “spirited debate” while middle and low income America had to watch well-paying jobs get outsourced to foreign lands. Not a finger was lifted to reverse (or even slow) the trend. Of course, he is attached to finance which saw nothing but booms in opportunity over the Bush jr. and Obama years.
