When I was in high school in Oregon in 1971, one of my friends showed me his “Don’t Californicate Oregon” bumper sticker. Even nearly fifty years ago people noticed what was happening.

Of course, that begs the question: who Californicated California? California used to be a great place to live, but it became infested with liberals from somewhere.

I've heard/read that a bunch of northeast liberals moved to California from places like NY and MA over the years, which would explain a lot.
