For now, at least, it gives AP a way of lying about what is going on. I think “riot” is a fine word, and “protest” does not include violence, because then it would be a riot.

Yep, I read “1984” and “Animal Farm” in, I think, 11th grade which was ‘67-’68. We read those books and laughed — “This is preposterous, so stupid. Nothing like that could ever happen in the USA.”

What BLM and AntiFa have been doing is RIOTING—not “protesting”!!!!
Their goal is NOT to get fairer treatment for black people, but to OVERTHROW the United States, and to substitute a communist government and society!!!
They use instances of killing of black criminals by police as EXCUSES for their violent riots—arson, looting, harassment, mayhem, and murder!! And those who particulate in these riots include whites—who may in fact be in the majority. But white, black, or brown, they are all communists and their dupes!!!!
