The State of California will study reparations to black Americans, thanks to a bill signed into law Wednesday by Gov. Gavin Newsom.
AB 3121 will create a nine-member “Task Force to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans, with a Special Consideration for African Americans Who are Descendants of Persons Enslaved in the United States,” according to the text of the bill.

It is easy to give away money...when you are able to take it by force from someone else.
California is a one party state with a pet dog media, so the Democrats can do pretty much anything they want.
Translation: Blacks moving to California for their free money and whites moving out.
As soon as California, or ANY state, decides to PAY REPARATIONS to the descendants of slaves, SUDDENLY THERE WILL BE A HUGE INFLUX OF SAID PERSONS INTO THAT STATE.......................

Sorry my conservative FRiends in California, what I am to suggest, however facetiously, is not intended to do you harm. California needs to have a 20% addition income tax above current levels to pay for reparations. Get on with it so you can fail quickly. Burn it down so it can be rebuilt.
If you don’t know who your daddy is, it’s gonna be hard to establish slave ancestry of that side.

California would more logically make reparations to Chinese, Japanese and hispanic people for laws and conduct for which the State was responsible. Not saying they should but at least there would be some logic to it. Reparations from CA to slaves? Obvious pandering.

This has nothing to do with “slavery reparations”. Article says AA and AA of slave decent. They gonna give ALL de coloreds a check, fo sho! Gotta keep dem votes comin in. This is simply a combination of Democrat pandering and race hustlers exploiting snowflake white guilt.
Do you have to “look” black to get reparations? I have black ancestors stemming from Rufus Hargrove, a freed slave. I also am part Cherokee. All of my family was part Cherokee. Great grandma was 1/2 Cherokee. Trail of Tears was as bad as slavery. So I am pasty white with red blotches and blonde hair. But I have slave ancestry. Do I get a mule and 40 acres? I used to want mine in Napa, but it is on fire now.

My cousin did our family history going back to 400s. In detail to the 1600s.
Do not owe anyone a penny for slavery. Not one thin dime.
Even if there were any still alive we are not in arrears to former slaves. And any possible claims they might have had died with them just as would be the case with anyone who dies before bringing suit.
What a novel idea. People who never owned slaves forced to pay money to people who never were slaves. What can possibly go wrong? Well, there could be a mass migration of black people moving to CA. Almonds aren’t the only nuts for which CA will be famous.

.... It was, just wasn’t called slavery at the time. My great grandmother was sold to a prominent family to work as a domestic house servant.
Great point. Mexico,Spain,Britain,Latin American and African nations etc etc will also have to pay.
