A Virginia health official is seeking to block a planned campaign rally for President Trump Friday evening, citing a "severe public health threat."
Natasha Dwamena, district director for the Department of Public Health, wrote in a letter Thursday the rally would break Gov. Ralph Northam's (D-Va.) executive order that generally bans gatherings larger than 250 people, the Associated Press reported.
She addressed the letter to a private company that leases the aircraft hangar where the rally is slated to take place.
The rally on Friday is expected to draw nearly 4,000 attendees, as Dwamena argues the event should be scaled down or canceled to comply with Northam's order.
"The rally poses a concerning public health risk," Dwamena said in the letter, adding that airport officials in the state are reminded they have "the authority to enforce" Virginia's laws.
Still, Dwamena's call will likely carry no weight on the decision for the rally to take place, as Trump's campaign rally spree has flouted many public health guidelines intended to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

If something beneficial has come from the pandemic, it is the exposure across the country of loser public health officials. These people are either quota hires and/or patronage appointments. I guess they never really believed they might also have to ave expertise in managing pandemics and just used the job as a feather in their cap.

My wife is Italian, with beautiful naturally curly hair - she wishes it was straight. People with straight hair want curly hair.

But I guarantee nobody is thrilled about having kinky hair. It is a ton of work. That’s why the women cut it short and wear wigs.
The afro hairdo of the sixties and seventies was a joke.
I have three adopted grandsons that are black and they look very handsome with it cut short (fade) on the sides and back, and flat on top - the way blacks cut their hair in the fifties and prior.
They aren’t trying to look white, but they aren’t growing it into a big round ball either.
