Former Vice President Joe Biden condemned the indictment against an ex-Kentucky cop for shooting into Breonna Taylor’s adjoining apartment, saying the call for equal justice was “not answered.”
The Democratic presidential nominee said Taylor, who was killed in a botched police drug raid in March, was “shot in her own home by the police.”
“In the wake of her tragic death, we mourn with her mother, family, and community and ask ourselves whether justice could be equally applied in America,” Biden said in a statement. “I know for so many people today’s decision does not answer that call.”
Biden’s statement issued late Wednesday was in response to a grand jury’s decision not to indict the Louisville officers involved in Taylor’s shooting for murder.
One officer, Brett Hankison, was indicted on a charge of wanton endangerment for firing shots into Taylor’s neighboring apartment.
The announcement led to protests in Louisville and other cities across the country, including New York.
Two police officers in Louisville were shot during the demonstrations on Wednesday evening and are recovering after suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
In his statement, Biden noted that a federal investigation into the shooting is continuing, but called for measures to be taken immediately.
“We do not need to wait for the final judgment of that investigation to do more to deliver justice for Breonna. We know what is necessary,” he said.

I am condemning Joe Biden’s corruption with Ukraine and that of his worthless son. I am condemning his son’s connections to underworld activities coming out of Ukraine. I am condemning the fact that his family received millions in payoffs from China which runs a 4-1 merchandise trade deficit with the US that only Trump has addressed. I am condemning the fact that his staff is hiding Biden and his senility in the basement. I am condemning the fact that he wrote laws incarcerating huge numbers of young men of minority status and now stokes fires against the police. I am condemning Biden’s running mate appearing with Jane Fonda in a campaign event when this woman posed with antiaircraft in North Vietnam and called US POWs war criminals. I could go on for days.
Trump needs to debate this ass now, in the press (what little is left of it). The best defense is a good offense, and the facts are on Law Enforcement’s side (our side).
That's just scary. That's actually the mentality that fuels a lynch mob. Who needs a trial? Why bother with a judge? The mob knows who is guilty and the mob can take matters into its own hands. The mob will do what is necessary.
Joe advocates mob rule. What the mob wants, the mob gets.
In the same way he won’t accept the outcome of the election.

“Equal(ity) Justice” is a buzzword for stripping the law enforcement officers and the dedicated and circumspect prosecutors of all power, defunding them, and turning the mob loose on those same LEO’s and honest state’s attorneys.
The dishonest state’s attorneys, of course, are then free to turn the REAL perpetrators loose, while pursuing a fake case based on falsehoods against the defenders of real justice.
I’m surprised he’d say something so reckless. But maybe the chips being as they are, the Dems really are beholden to woke crazies.

Heard him say that in “his” administration the justice department would be completely independent and he’d have nothing to do with it but I suspect it would be more like this. Make sure you always get the popular outcome

IMO Joe’s trying to keep things stirred up that will take attention away from the report on him and his family..

Biden does not have the mental acuity to analyze the situation and is easily manipulated by others. He babbles like a fool. The blood of those two police officers shot last night is on his hands.
