Huddled with aides in the West Wing last week, his eyes fixed on Fox News, Trump wasn’t talking about how he had led the nation through the deadliest pandemic in a century. In a conversation overheard by an Associated Press reporter, Trump was describing how he’d just publicly rebuked one of his top scientists — Dr. Robert Redfield, a virologist and head of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Redfield had angered the president by asserting that a COVID-19 vaccine wouldn’t be widely available to the general public until summer or fall of 2021. So hours later, with no supporting evidence, Trump called a news conference to say Redfield was “confused.” A vaccine, Trump insisted, could be ready before November’s election.
Mission accomplished: Fox was headlining Trump’s latest foray in his administration’s ongoing war against its own scientists.
Over the past six months, the Trump administration has prioritized politics over science at key moments, refusing to follow expert advice that might have contained the spread of the virus and COVID-19, the disease it causes. Trump and his people have routinely dismissed experts’ assessments of the gravity of the pandemic, and of the measures needed to bring it under control. They have tried to muzzle scientists who dispute the administration’s rosy spin.

Um, according to the CDC, that would be 6% of 200,000.

I saw this “200,000 killed by Trump” bull$hit as I accidentally bumped into the VIEW this a.m. and was part of Sleepy Joe’s talking points recently. It’s being trumpeted by the libs as if it were actually true.

Read somewhere this morning that the FDA is hitting the brakes on a vaccine release and requiring additional stiffer “testing protocols” to stretch the release on out by months.
IF so, someone needs to take a good, hard look at who’s making such calls at the FDA.
Before the lockdown my small hospital had tents put up outside to receive all the dying people, we shut the world down. I think we had a total of 20 hospital patients for the whole period. We were suppose to have millions of deaths. This never happened yet we are proceeding like it has.
He also said, IIRC, that 200 people were not going to be at the holiday dinner tables this year, due to dying from COVID.
It really doesn’t matter how many, as long as he continues to be sure everyone knows it is all Trump’s fault.

Take it as a sign that the Democrats fear losing the election. Vaccines are supposed to be a tool to increase their control, not something to make Trump look good.

Heard that too. Supposedly it's in response to concerns by the naysayers that Trump will push out a vaccine even though they say it hasn't been proven effective and safe. Though a vaccine may be delayed, it won't be by months.

This POS article showed up on the morning news here in Jax today. Ran it without attribution to AP just the authors name. I did a research check to find the commie authors affiliation and for nothing fired off a note saying it was a crap article by some dem activist posing as a reporter. Nothing will come of it as the station is owned by a recent new owner from the left.
