He represents a Mormon state, and he is Mormon himself. I never doubted that he would go along with Trumps SC pick.He would lose a huge part of his base, the Mormon Church, if he did not comply.
He said he’d support a vote. Did he say he’d support the pick? I think not. He’s still a democrat snake until he proves otherwise.
My initial reaction was to loathe him slightly less. But you are right; he is becoming more and more irrelevant as things are moving along without his support. And he knows it. This is a play to become relevant again. Therefore my degree of loathing stays unchanged.
