The motion to vacate the chair is a parliamentary rule (peculiar to Congress) that describes the right of any member of the House of Representatives to call for the formal removal of a sitting Speaker of the House and the election of a new one.
This power comes, technically, not from the Constitution but rather from a parliamentary rules manual written by Thomas Jefferson during his tenure as Vice President—and President of the Senate—between 1797 and 1801. The manual—now known as Jefferson's Manual—was adopted by Congress as an official rule book in 1837. The manual does not supersede the Constitution. Instead, it provides the rules—essentially the bylaws—for how Congress conducts its legislative business.

Interesting...I’m not familiar with that but since those Reps. who authored this are of the Freedom Caucus I would suspect they know....but will it be talk or action?
I realize the news cycle is not something that Trump can control, but I wish he would talk more about the inaction of the house under Pelosi’s leadership.
They have done nothing but obstruct. Period. Trump needs to ask Americans if this is what they expect from their congressional representative. Repeatedly.
Perhaps that is what they expect in these districts, but keep in mind that Trump won many of these districts that the democrats took in 2018.
Surely the GOP has a shot at this?
Another thing to watch. The democrats have a decent sized group of representatives in the house that are fracturing from Pelosi. It is possible that they will band together like the Freedom Caucus and Pelosi might lose the gavel. A slim possibility given the fundraising control that Pelosi maintains, but there is a chance. More than a few of them are pissed off going into this election.

Either she doesn't have any grounds for impeachment and she is using and abusing the power of her office... Or she has something that could be an impeachable offense and she's been sitting on it - making her an accomplice after the fact (by helping to keep it a secret) in whatever high crime or misdemeanor she would accuse the President of.

We are eventually going to find out that this whole mask-wearing business was forced upon us so that the old gasbag Nancy Pelosi could sport one around her neck to try and hide her saggieness.
“a motion to vacate the chair” played a key role in the resignation of House Speaker John Boehner so why couldn’t it apply to Pelosi?....Perhaps they don’t actually have to use it just to threaten using it?
Pelosi has said several times they will go down fighting ...I doubt she’d feel threatened.
Hopefully the voters will take care of this issue on November 3.
The threat of impeachment for Trump doing what he legally can do proves that crazy nancy is unfit for public office.
Let her try to impeach. It will only hurt them and help us. I would actually welcome it.
