It’s moot anyway. The “people of the US” don’t select the president. The people of each state select which candidate their state will vote for. i.e. the states select the president. If a president barely wins enough states to give him the number of electors necessary, he wins, even if his opponent won his states in a landslide. It just means a few states really, really wanted candidate A, while a lot of states slightly preferred candidate B over candidate B. So candidate B won.

It’s also why a baseball team with less hits can still win a game, depending on the hit spread in innings.

GREAT article discussed by Dan Bongino on his show yesterday:

National Review: History Is on the Side of Republicans Filling a Supreme Court Vacancy in 2020

Like most of you, I hear the chorus from the Left shouting at the top of their lungs "THIS IS AN UNPRECEDENTED EVENT! TRUMP IS BREAKING LONG ESTABLISHED PRECEDENT! TO NOMINATE AT THIS TIME IS EXCEEDINGLY RARE!"

Well, they scream so loud and so long that you could forgive normal people who think it might be true.

The article shows...with examples and data, not only is it not rare, it is COMMON, and...it is ALWAYS done when the situation presents itself!

GREAT article.

It’s pretty bad when Fredo has to point out that you are a nut job.

“This SCOTUS vote before the election will demoralize Dem voters who are already morose with their lackluster demented low energy candidate. The economy is rebounding, Covid fading, and the Biden riots have made Law and Order a huge suburban winning issue for Trump.

Dem turnout could be low. They are losing, losing, losing.”

I agree 100%. The old GOP candidates made an effort to reach across the aisle to ensure dems were not too demoralized. Meanwhile, MSM and dems would constantly push endless propaganda, fake polls to demoralize our side.

Hey AT&T. I’m one of your cable and internet customers. You own CNN. Don Lemon is thus one of your employees. Did one of your employees just advocate the overthrow of the United States Government while on company time, and on the air?

“Lemon needs to be committed to a mental ward.”

Not just Lemon needs to be committed. I have seen many posts on Facebook and other placed that are apoplectic at the prospect of a constitutional conservative being selected to serve on the Supreme Court. What do they actually think is going to change for the worse? Would these idiots prefer Judges who support euthanasia for handicapped, sick and elderly persons or lowering the age of consent to the age of ten. Perhaps they want Judges to say it is okay for them to marry their cats or in Lemon’s case a gerbil?

We are a republic, not a democracy.

Trump DID win the popular vote.
He won the popular vote in 30 states and Hillary Clinton only won the popular vote in 20 states.

Thirty is more than twenty, so Trump won the popular vote.

We don’t follow a pure (and faulty) democratic model in which all votes (from big and small states) are mixed together. This would lead to oppression of minority views (and isn’t that something liberals should also agree with?)

On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being Keith Olbermann on a really bad day, how big of a meltdown was it?
