Utah Senator @MittRomney is onboard for a vote before the election. That now means 51 Republicans will vote.

Watch for New York DA to announce criminal charges against Trump related to taxes prior to the end of the week.

I would have thought that Alaska would be VERY pro-Trump. How does Murkowski survive being such a RINO? Am I wrong about Alaska?

But the media loved him when he voted to convict Trump in the impeachment trial. He was a principled Republican, who saw the evidence and was so courageous to vote as he did, etc. etc.

You mean the MSNBC crowd won’t love him anymore? I’m shocked, just shocked....................

Romney has no choice, The binders full of women comment must be redeemed. He does that by voting FOR a woman for SCOTUS.

The Utah clan might be forcing him to stand on this one.

I don’t get it, know nothing about Alaska.

I do recall in one election, Murkowski lost in the primary to another Republican. But she won the general election; she ran as an independent or write in candidate, one or the other.

So she has been primaried in the past, but still survived.

Obviously a filibuster would kill the nomination, but it was Harry Reid who used the nuclear option of majority vote on Judicial Appointments and thus the extension by Mitch on Gorsuch.

Romney to support Trump’s nominee? Good grief! Am I going to wake up and realize i’m just dreaming?

Yes, very true, let’s give Harry Reid his credit, for opening this door to ending filibusters. His actions ended the filibuster for judges except for Supreme Court justices, as I recall.

If not for Harry’s actions, we would not have seen the nuclear option for the Supreme Court detonated by Mitch McConnell at the time of Gorsuch’s nomination.

Game, Set and Match. This event is transformative for this election cycle, all good for Republicans. Supporting the constitution, and Law and Order, HUGE winning issues as the economy rebounds and covid fades.

The nastier the Dems get on this the more votes they lose.

Yep, I breathed a sigh of relief on Friday night when Mitch committed right away and didn’t waffle for a second. For all his faults, he’s a stud on judges. He’s Tom Brady to POTUS’ Belichick, GOAT duo.

Yea but this could be bad...does that mean Trump committed to a “moderate”? Please go for Britt Grant Mr PRESIDENT. All of these squishes have come out publicly FOR the nominee. Best chance you’ll get 5o put a solid pick who won’t flip.

Romney may be responding to his plunge in popularity in Utah. He wants to be a maverick but he wants to be a popular maverick. Even McCain and Lindsey Graham (back in the days he was a close follower of McCain) never strayed too far from the party.
