'Not a big deal': Noncitizens who voted illegally in 2016 still on voter rolls
The Washington Times ^

Juan Landeros-Mireles admitted in court last year that he registered to vote and even cast ballots in the 2016 election, though he has never been a U.S. citizen.

As the November election nears, he is still listed as an active voter in Wilson County, North Carolina.

Given his past, it’s not likely he will try again, but his experience does strengthen an argument of voter integrity advocates: Some local rolls haven’t been cleansed of illegitimate voters, creating opportunities for fraudulent ballots to be cast.

Landeros-Mireles isn’t alone.

Federal prosecutors charged 17 other people with illegally voting as noncitizens in eastern North Carolina in one major sweep in 2018. All of them admitted in court that they were not citizens and flouted the law by voting, yet six of those names are still listed as active voters in the state.

“It just doesn’t seem people are taking it seriously,” said Tom Spencer, an election lawyer and vice president at the Lawyers Democracy Fund. “They don’t want to spend the money. They know there’s a problem, they know people move around, double vote. To them, it’s not a big deal.”

Local elections officials said there is not much they can do.

Greg Flynn, chair of the Wake County Elections Board, where several of the noncitizen voters are still registered, said nobody in his time in office “has come to the board to challenge the registration of a voter in the manner prescribed by [state] law, and the board is not at liberty to change the status of a voter registration record based simply on hearsay.”

Keeping voter rolls up to date should be easy with modern databases and tech. The rats just don’t wanna.

Not a big deal? Every illegal voter should be executed, along with the people that enabled them. Enough of this crap already. It’s time for a freakin’ war!

Trivial compared to the standard voting process in MD...

Over the years, one reason the wife and i vote early (in person) is to avoid the humongous lines caused by hundreds of busloads of DC residents be unloaded at the MD voting locations...

Even worse than being in a 2.5 hour line at the high school location is having to listen to these DC residents bitch & moan about how many times & places they've already been bussed to...

Another problem are the delays caused by non-English-speaking people voting and requiring interpreters...

Now the fat communist governor has decided to up the game and shut down most (80%) of the voting locations to create an even bigger mess at the big locations...
This will enable a huge increase in criminal voting by being buried in the general chaos...

There is another scam that is showing up for the census. Multiple Census forms are being sent to same address by using the slightest alterations in the address. Both will result in the census form showing up at a particular residence. I filled out the one with the exact right address and sent the other one back with a note explaining the situation. I even wrote that I sent the right one in and explained exactly what was wrong with the address on the bad one. Census lady shows up wanting my information for the bad address. I explained it to her too. I told her they are not supposed to double count citizens. The day after that there was a note on my door asking for my information again. who knows when the harassment will end.

Now imagine how many ballots are subject to the same abuse when they are sent out unrequested. Officials simply don’t care about accuracy or truth anymore.

The foundation of a republic is the right of citizens to elect their government. Every illegal vote, by any means, cancels out the legal vote and the basic right of a citizen. Considering what government presumes to do for us and, just importantly, do to us, then citizens had better make sure that their rights and voices —as citizens — are honored and protected. Otherwise, let’s not claim we have a system of government we really don’t have.

That seems a pretty big deal to me.
