On Thursday's New Day on CNN, the show presented a pre-recorded "Reality Check" in which liberal analyst John Avlon excoriated President Donald Trump for being a global warming skeptic, and asserted that "you ought to have your head examined" if you disagree with the left's fearmongering and alarmism about climate change.
After meteorologist Chad Myers discussed the current threat of hurricanes, co-host Alisyn Camerota introduced Avlon's "Reality Check" as she pivoted:

So mr science, answer these, and you can ask allison for help, then get back to us:
1. Define the “correct” temperature range for the planet.
2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.
3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet.
4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.
5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.
6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.
7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.
Jeez, you could apply that headline to other eras just as easily:
“All you phrenology-deniers like Mark Twain need to have your heads examined!”

weather forecasters cannot accurately tell what the weather will be 2 days from now where I live, but they can tell what the weather will be in 100 years. NOT
They would not know any of that, don’t care to as that is not their intent. It is guilty for anyone who does not agree to their current zeitgeist, no matter what it is, and of course with constantly moving goalposts.

Climate changes here every day. Sun goes down it gets colder. Sun comes up it gets warmer. It’s been the same forever. I’ll bet it keeps happening even in 11 years.
I worked outside my whole life. The climate is always changing. Some years are hotter, colder, wetter, dryer etc.

How do you measure these things accurately?
What is the error percentage in the things you measure?
How do you compensate for measurements taken in the past using less accurate instruments?
How do you measure things that were not measured centuries ago?
What is your sample size and coverage area of ice cores around the world?
How can you be positive that the elements measured in ice cores are in the same quantities as when they were originally deposited, or has been some dissipation or contamination?
Where are the ice cores from the Sarah Dessert, SE USA and equatorial regions of the world?
What is your sample size and coverage area for tree ring measurements?
Where are your tree rings from the Arctic and Antarctic?
Why is it that when you measure sea-level rise it is different in different parts of the world, and always higher in Democrat-controlled coastal cities in the US?
I deny there is a climate. I even have doubts that weather exists.
Yes! I know of no one that is denying climate changes. Happens year round. Earth’s tiny axis tilts (if any) may have a part in it. The sun may have a part in it. The moon may contribute. Sheesh!
