Pollak: The NYT’s Latest ‘Whistleblower’ Looks Like Another Adam Schiff Hit Job
Breitbart ^ | 09.10.2020 | JOEL B. POLLAK

Posted on 09/10/2020 9:52:06 AM PDT by USA Conservative

The New York Times reported Wednesday that a “whistleblower” at the Department of Homeland Security had alleged that officials “directed agency analysts to downplay the threat of violent white supremacy and of Russian election interference.”

The Times report noted the role of House Intelligence Committee Chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) in releasing the complaint. Indeed, the “whistleblower” in this case is represented by attorney Mark Zaid, the same lawyer who represented the so-called “whistleblower” in the impeachment. Zaid also notoriously tweeted in favor of a “coup” against President Donald Trump.

In this case, the “whistleblower” has been identified — as Brian Murphy, a former intelligence official at the department — but the complaint was filed with Schiff’s Intelligence committee rather than the House Committee on Homeland Security.

The complaint alleges that Murphy faced retaliation by the department for a variety of disputes. The first involves testimony going back to 2018 about alleged terrorist threats entering the U.S. through the southern border. Murphy says that former Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen perjured herself before Congress by exaggerating the terrorist influx.

Another dispute involves an argument with Acting Director of US Citizenship and Immigration Ken Cuccinelli over the assessment of conditions in the “Northern Triangle” countries of Central America from which migrant caravans were arriving — though the complaint does not state clearly what the argument is about. The complaint does, however, criticize Cuccinelli for his concerns about “deep state intelligence analysts,” which Murphy says meant targeting officials for political reasons.

The third dispute involves intelligence about Russian efforts to interfere in U.S. elections. The complaint names Kash Patel, then the Acting Deputy Director for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Might as well get used to a weekly and maybe daily expose about Pres. Trump from now until the election.

” Murphy says that former Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen perjured herself before Congress by exaggerating the terrorist influx”

IOW Murphy is an Open Borders Zealot who objects to any attempt to impede the onslaught by pointing fingers and screaming “perjurer!”

Yeah, and? Whistleblower. Trump is responsible for the riots (formerly “peaceful protests”). Trump hates the military. Trump wanted people to die from COVID-19. And to think we haven’t seen the worse that the DEMs will toss out there to influence voters. Won’t matter to conservatives. May make a dent with independents and women.

Interestingly, the “whistle-blower” in the impeachment drama was never a “whistle-blower.”

“Mr. Murphy informed Mr. Wolf he would not comply with these instructions, as doing so would put the country in substantial and specific danger.”

If I told my boss that I would not comply with his explicit instructions, I would be unemployed about 5 minutes later. He’s crying because he was re-assigned. Another deep-state plant, providing cover for the media narrative...ie riots are caused by right-wingers and Russia is helping Trump win again. Total BS!!

Which was not his call to make.

“Murphy says that former Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen perjured herself before Congress by exaggerating the terrorist influx.”

Testimony or presentations before Congress don’t simply rely on somebody’s say-so. The information given is backed up by analysis of reports, statistics, projections, past events, intelligence and other sources. Are such always spot on? No. Can their be conflicting conclusions? Yes. But relying on them and deciding which to base policy on is not in anyway nefarious. Nor does selecting which info is most pertinent to policy decisions and telling that to Congress. Nothing burger with everything.
