Although the fires are a good distance away, we get a coating of wood ash over everything outside in the morning due to the prevailing winds. There is the faint smell of wood smoke in the air. Today, thanks to a combination of marine layer and smoke, it never cleared up or got as warm as was predicted.

Glad you’re safe from the fires. Dealing with ash and some smoke in the air is better than having to make a bolt like so many have been doing out there. Still not pleasant if you have to go outside for any reason.

Nice that you got a little break from the heat. Incredible how hot it’s been out there.
