Had some horses very happy to see me this morning. I had hay for them. They started eating and ignored me. They do not run for the roses they run for the alfalfa.
A friend of mine owned a small ranch. He said that the only way the horses would come to greet him is if he had some kind of food, and usually apples, in his hand. If he would go out to the corral, whistle to them and if he had nothing in his hand they would ignore him. ;-)
