I saw a documentary on him a few months ago. I do recall now that he had been ill.

Rest In Peace...

Wow Tom Terrific had left us. Hell of a pitcher. Dementia at 75 is early, lime disease? Calistoga is fairly rural, maybe he got bit by a tic on a walk?

Sad. Lyme disease can be pretty bad depending which type you get (effects different areas) and how soon it’s diagnosed and treated.

Tom Terrific

Why doesn’t Pelosi or Hillary or Biden croak instead?

Satan could probably tell us.

He was the subject of one of the greatest baseball quotes of all time:

“Blind people come to the ballpark just to listen to him pitch.” — Reggie Jackson

RIP Tom Terrific! You were always one of the good guys!

Unfortunately, you’d not recognize your sport today.

Tom Terrific was just that. In my almost 60 years of following baseball, Tom Seaver is my choice as the best RH pitcher.

I use to have his autograph and on his Topps baseball card which I lost. I got it in the early 1970s when I played on a little league team and they let us come to the front seats at Shea stadium and the players came over to sign autographs, something I never see them do today. They were good guys, RIP Tom.

Jim Palmer’s up there too.
(And is Nolan Ryan a righty or a southpaw, I keep forgetting.)

He briefly played for the Boston Red Sox in 1986 season. I was at Fenway for one of his games. That was also the breakout year for Roger Clemens.

Doesn't seem that long ago. Hard to believe he was 75.

The 1969 Mets are one of the greatest stories in baseball history. And Tom was the keystone of that team. Such a great figure, fine and decent man.
