I used to be entertained by the likes of Walter Payton, Jimmy Brown, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Wilt Chamberlain, Hank Aaron, Joe Louis, Jesse Owens etc. But that was when America was still America and even democrats were generally patriots.
