how can the Democrat Party screw with the elections if they aren’t briefed on how steps being taken to protect the elections?

It’s not fair.

It’s been said that there are “enemies of the state” in Congress. It just isn’t who they say it is.

Good for him.... and it explains Nantzi going ape crap in between vodka slurps. As a Gang of 8 briefed person— her people leak like sieves. And also the recent Mark Warner actions.... cut that SOB out, period. He worked the dossier.

Democrats have shown they can’t be trusted. Why would anyone continue to brief them?

A couple of different versions of each briefing
will point to the problem quickly.

I want names and arrests. Releasing secret documents is not one of the Constitutional exceptions to their arrest.

I think it’s totally appropriate considering the potential for election tampering. And, democrats are soooo concerned about election integrity, don’tcha know.

Right!! You know those elected to Congress are not vetted - ever. It is the people’s house and if they want to elect a rapist, bank- robber, or member of the Maffia, it’s OK according to the Constitution. Only citizenship and age are required. It was in the 60’s or 70’s there was a NJ congressman elected to Congress who was a known member of the Mafia - La Cosa Nostra. I feel certain over the years there have been full fledged foreign spies elected.

I want names and arrests. Releasing secret documents is not one of the Constitutional exceptions to their arrest.

The names are thoroughly known by the DNI, senior staff, and legislative liaisons. Whenever classified info gets leaked and an investigation launched, 99/100 times the leakers are identified, usually quickly. There is very little subterfuge and clever passing of secrets anonymously going on.

As for arrests, you're going to have a big problem arresting someone for something that isn't actually a crime. Classified information is an executive branch responsibility, but the judicial and legislative branches have constitutional roles for oversight that mean they get access to some classified info by virtue of their official positions, and they also make the laws so they won't ever voluntarily surrender their immunity from prosecution by writing a law that includes them. The press also has a constitutional protection that keeps them out of jail for reporting on leaked classified information, and it's rare that they are even compelled to name a source (the Valerie Plame debacle is the only time I can think of)

Finally, if that doesn't get your blood pressure up enough, even senior executive branch officials when caught are protected because of political sensitivities, or they are actually permitted to leak for any reason the classified information authority seems fit, including to advance a political objective, without limit. People farther down the chain are powerless to do anything other than report a leak to internal oversight officials, which can, despite anti retribution policies, ultimately end up killing a person's career in a number of ways. If you don't think that there are many people silenced by those concerns, remember Hillary's email server and how many IT people in government had to see those network intrusions, the shady staff responsible for the server, know that something was very fishy with it, and couldn't say anything because they would be the ones in trouble.

Yes and make each congress critters copy of the briefing identifiable from the others so we will know who the traitor is.

It was in the 60’s or 70’s there was a NJ congressman elected to Congress who was a known member of the Mafia - La Cosa Nostra.

Geraldine Ferrero came from a mob family, her father was bumped off in a classic ‘boat gas fume explosion’ hit. Her husband was mob shill who handled money laundered through real estate purchase. She was referred to as the Member from the Five Families. Not a word of this was spoken during her VP run.

There are ways to figure out who the leaker is.

Tell one member one thing, tell another something else. Keep track of who’s told what, and whatever variation of the story leaks, appear the next day with an arrest warrant to arrest the leaker.
