Don’t think that is allowed under federal law. They will not get a cent.

“Don’t think that is allowed under federal law. They will not get a cent.”

You would think that if the interstate commerce clause applies to anything it would certainly apply to this!

And can you imagine the magnitude of the Constitutional and tax law fight that these Marxist Democrat thieves would get ranging all the way to the SCOTUS?

This is true desperation from Newsom’s FAILED Democrat California government that cannot manage itself or pay its bills...so it wants to FURTHER steal your money.

This is penalizing the First Amendment of Freedom of Speech and “Liberty” (to move around the country. No “Schutzpass” for Jews like the Nazis had, or the “ Juden” transportation passports the Soviets had for Jews and other citizens.

California, the “New Soviet Union” in the flesh.

“Don’t think that is allowed under federal law. They will not get a cent.”

Several years ago a coworker who had never been to California and had never received money from or through California got a tax bill from California. When he called and explained it the clerk told him, “Look it’s only $500. You will pay many times that fighting it in court. Just pay it.” And, she hung up. I left the company shortly after and don’t know how it worked out. But, I think the clerk’s attitude perfectly reflects California’s attitude regarding taxes and the prols who have to pay them.

Exactly. California has no legal authority over residents of other states.

This was decided about 25 years ago by the Supreme Court. California used to tax the income of retirees in other states if the corporate offices were in California. The Supreme Court said no. They are trying this again but this time without a fig leaf of tax law structure, just a pure greed approach.
