Maybe the curfew helped and maybe it didn’t, but what is really happening is that the word is out from the Democratic leadership that the polls show people blame the Democrats for the riots. The riots are helping Trump get re-elected. Except for among the hardest Leftists, we might see a real drop off in rioting in the next two weeks or so as more people focus on the election as always happens after Labor Day.

Curfews work if they are enforced.
This time the Minneapolis police RoE allowed them to actually arrest curfew violators, plus I think the National Guard was actually armed for the first time. They got their marching orders to stop the riots and stop them NOW.
It was a totally different response from June. Quite effective.
I’m left to wonder, why does the ‘press’ get a pass on the curfew? Just like the mandatory evacuation notices (for Galveston Island, for the Cat 4/5 hurricane), why do the “press” get to stay, unbothered?
Especially with the citizen journalism we have today, ANYONE can be a journalist.
It’s difficult to tell why it suddenly worked.
Was it the new poll numbers, or was it an example of a civilian fighting back?
