There is now a general understanding among Conservatives; it is clear that the Republican Party of 2016 was intellectually bankrupt and the Party leadership was blindly inept. If Trump has done nothing else (and he has done much) he has shed a passel of Republican hangers-on. Perhaps all that is left is to bury once and for all the effete snowflake Republicans and create a new robust Conservative Party. If Trump wins, I predict it will happen just prior to the 2022 elections.

It’s amazing to hear how much sense he makes now. I know he was crooked when he was in office but they definitely shafted him with his sentence and he knows it. Others have done so much worse and have never spent one second in prison. FUJE in spades.

Which had previously included adjacent Chicago city wards to his 23rd in a district that dealt exclusively with city issues such as a subway L service and the Stevenson Expressway Wards which were reliable Dan’s father William O Lipinski supporters. But since most had areas with hispanic last names those areas were redistricted and assigned to Gutieriez’s district. Those results are posted below which actually tear up the concept of a neighborhood and pit people against each other by using division.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) says a man who prosecutors allege sexually assaulted a 3-year-old girl in the stall of a McDonald’s restroom located in Chicago’s North River community 600 North Clark street should have been turned over to the agency last year.
Christopher Puente, 34, is charged with one count of predatory criminal sexual assault. Cook County prosecutors said he confessed to detectives that he’d placed the child on his lap while he was in a restroom stall, pulled off her pants, and covered her mouth when she started calling out “daddy daddy.”
The father had taken his two children to the restroom, taking his son into a stall while his daughter waited just outside in the restroom. According to prosecutors. Puente, who was in the next stall, lured the girl into his stall while her dad was preoccupied, pulled her into his lap, pulled down her pants and underwear, and sexually assaulted her.
In June 2019, ICE lodged an immigration detainer with the Chicago Police Department on Puente, who has several felony convictions and a prior removal, after he was arrested for theft.
“How many more victims must there be before lawmakers realize that sanctuary policies do not protect the innocent?” asked Robert Guadian, field office director of Chicago Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). “Puente should have been in ICE custody last year and removed to his home country. Instead, irresponsible lawmaking allowed him to walk free and prey on our most vulnerable.”

Puke. I was just saying if some “moderate” douchebag ex-Governor was to endorse Biden, like Jim Edgar or Pete Wilson, the media would be SURE to let us know.
I think Impy nailed it a few years ago when he said Edgar might have been a decent Governor (especially compared to the five combiner scumbags in a row who followed him), but he has been a GODAWFUL HORRIBLE EX-Governor.
And like my previous statement about how all these “Republicans” like Colon Bowel Movement not endorsing a single member of “their” party in decades, I last remember Edgar endorsing a Republican in a contested race back in 2004, when he said he was going to vote for Alan Keyes over then state Sen. Barack Obama. So that was... 16 years ago now! (and he said immediately after the election anyway that Keyes was an ‘embarrassment’ and that he ‘regretted’ his endorsement)
Given that 5 out of 9 of the last Illinois governors have been INDICTED (and Edgar is one of the "good" ones who WASN'T indicted), I think a more accurate modern book of Illinois Governors would be titled "Mostly Bad And Incompetent Men"

Mister we could use a man like Dwight Green again.
I’m not so sure about him. He certainly was a good governor as far as they go but state RINOs don’t seem to hate him, George Ryan praised him at his funeral.
Dwight Green (1941-48) certainly was conservative. Bob Taft wanted the victorious Dewey to make Green his running mate in 1948, Dewey was like “lol no”.
Well, it wasn’t like they were going to bash him at his funeral. Stratton was around a long time, a senior statesman. Long enough that I was able to get a personally requested autographed photo from him back in the ‘90s.
Fun fact about Gov. Dwight Green: he autographed everything in a personalized green colored pen. Well, I thought it was amusing.
Sen. John Bricker should’ve been the 1948 nominee for President, maybe he’d have picked Gov. Green as his running mate.
