JACKSON: For our President Trump, first I want to say a family member and I don’t know if it was heard or not said something that was not kind. She is hurting and I do apologize for that. Our outburst does not reflect our behavior. And also, for President Trump, I’m sorry I missed your call because had I not missed your call, maybe the comments that you made would have been different. And I’m not mad at you at all. I have the utmost respect for you as the leader of our country. Like I said before and I’m not saying this to him directly, we should always get the details from the right source before we start throwing bricks.

I’m very glad people got to hear the Mother’s voice on this, and her condemning the rioting. She needs a bigger stage because it’s a message that needs to be heard.

Politics aside: this mom is a class act. I’d bet she was a normal person who actually loved America. Further I’m willing to bet most black people are embarrassed by the actions of a few. Racism in America is a definite correlation to the actions of the loser hand out people out there. And that goes for white trash as well.

She displayed uncommon grace. I’m sure she did everything in her power to raise her son the right way. Sometimes that isn’t even enough.
I hope the President calls her back. She clearly wants to talk to him and his kindness towards her could go a long way to help this whole situation.
President Trump attempted to call her? She missed the call or refused the call at the time due to shock/grief?
Either way, I respect her statement and her grief as a mother.
God bless her family and given them comfort in this time. And, thanks for speaking out! Yes, when we all see these incidents, we are troubled & discouraged, but it is not Trump telling anybody to go after blacks or Latinos, etc. We do need to clean up our police depts, but who wants to work in them these days with all the ambushes of officers, false or misleading addresses being given out and people calling the police in matters that really don’t require police interference. It is a recipe for disaster.
I support the Blue, but they need more off time to get therapy and counseling, and to have their own family time. Those who show a propensity towards racism need to be taken off the force, or placed in desk jobs only! The police commissioner needs to stand up to the unions and demand that police who’ve had issues in the past with racial or unnecessary force situations cannot be allowed to go out into areas where the likelihood of unnecessary force is used. If they have a quick temper, then they need to stay back at the station. I’ve known some who like to provoke a fight. They don’t need to be on the force. I know that is only a few, but that’s where the unions need to find another job placement...even if it means relocation to a small town. This is what they do in a lot of other union-controlled industries.
