The U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) has taken out a high-value member of the Al Shabaab terror group in Somalia on Thursday.

AFRICOM confirmed the successful airstrike in an emailed statement to American Military News. The Al Shabaab member, who was not named, had a history of making explosives and was reportedly working to place Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) on a public road at the time of the strike near the vicinity of Kurtun Warey, Somalia.

Kind of ironic, thousands are being murdered in American cities, but so many Americans care more about bombing missions half a world away. This is the neocon mindset. A civil defense program against biochemical agents, obviously. That would have started with a full supply of protective gear and a CDC that focused on pinpointing and developing tests for and vaccines against diseases - including bioweapons - not on gun control and social programs.

But we were too busy doing “national security” by invading the Middle East for 20 wasted years

In my case, not really more. I would say, in addition to. We have troops in country that face IED’s on a daily basis. One less turdball making them, makes the strike a worthwhile endeavor in my book.
