Seriously, there could be something to your remark.

I’ve often thought the Europeans were so easily corralled by their Hitlers, Stalins and socialists in general because it has been ingrained in them for centuries to be under the rule of some king, queen or dictator. It’s a natural response to want to be subjugated.

Now take Australia, and couple your comment with mine, and it’s a wonder they do not expect public hangings for not wearing the mask.
