“I blame schools NOT opening on the Karen Unions of Teachers.”
I thought so at first, but then I overheard a few. At least true Karens are believers. They’re obnoxious because of some (erroneous) deeply held beliefs that that there IS a killer cootie, and MASKS will protect the world.
Then I heard these teachers talking in physical therapy. They are LAZY and SPOILED and GREEDY. They never said a word about the kids or the virus. It was all about their free time and getting paid.
My tongue was almost bleeding by the time I walked out.
I have a doctor acquaintance who has a lot of teachers as patients.
She says they’re talking about drawing up wills; not a word about how to keep the kids safe, just overblown paranoia about how THEY’LL do.
I can promise you that my son is not lazy....he has been back at school since Aug. 4. Teaches 5th grade math. They will start teaching remotely on Aug. 27 and in school on Sept. 8. He and the other teachers are there trying to make sure all will run smoothly. Even though they have been given very few answers about what the plan is if they have a student fall ill or they themselves do. We’re in Texas. No teacher union. Unions are illegal here. I read posts like yours and just feel like giving up....
