Six prison guards have been stabbed and left with broken bones after being attacked by 20 inmates in a recreational yard.

The guards and two of the inmates were hospitalized following the incident.

One of the guards then fired a warning shot into the air which stopped the attack.

If my fellow guards were being beaten and stabbed my warning shot would not be into the air.

This all got going because nobody even fired into the air...when one guard did, the cowards ran. The regulations are so strict that the guards are probably more afraid of the system than of the inmates, even on a rampage.
