There was a fascinating interview with Soviet KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov in 1984 in which he foretold in unerring detail the exact social and political scenarios that would exist in America in the near future. His contention was that the KGB was involved primarily not in espionage, but in an activity that he called "ideological subversion."

I would agree with that. I’m also a great fan of Calvin Coolidge.
Harding was even better. Coolidge merely continued his policies. A black mark against Coolidge was his appointing (his only SCOTUS appointment) the left-winger Harlan Fiske Stone. FDR liked him so much he made him Chief Justice.
One of Reagan’s greatest mistakes. But, of course, the Congress lied to him that they’d enforce the border to go along with this amnesty.

Good point. Harding for the first couple of years had a very vibrant economy too. I had forgotten about Coolidge’s poor choice of a justice.
Speaking of Washington, I saw that Tammy Duckworth (Horrible-IL) is “open” to naming a commission to consider removing statues of the first president.
Though the USSR is gone, the subversion continues. It is now self-funded in the West. It is self-perpetuating. The Schools and Mental Health are entirely in the grasp of our enemies. Many Churches have swallowed the poison.
Harding is hated by leftist historians because he proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that cutting taxes, spending AND the size of government (sadly a trifecta never done since) unleashed prosperity in short order. He was elected during a recession at the end of Wilson’s term and along with Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon (who should’ve ended up as President instead of Wilson Progressive Herbert Hoover) resolved the recession in about a year. FDR, of course, loathed Andrew Mellon, and proceeded to do everything in opposition to him in office, exacerbating the Depression and taking the nation 20-25 years to recover to 1920s levels.
Reagan is certainly one of the country’s greatest Presidents, perhaps the greatest in the last 100 years.

Anyone who doesn’t include Ronald Reagan among the greatest Presidents, does not understand the Constitutional limitations placed on the three coequal branches of government, including the Executive branch.
You can’t judge a President only by what was accomplished during his term, although ending the Cold War was certainly one for the history books.
Leadership is also about inspiring hearts and minds, defending and preserving the founding principles, and shaping the nation’s vision for future generations.
Great Presidents of the past and future will be always be compared to Ronald Reagan, and there is a reason for that: he was a nearly perfect example of what a leader of men should be: wise yet humble, kind-hearted yet fearless.
Reagan is dead.

I voted for The Gipper both times (my first two general elections) and I guess he saved us from the Carter/Mondale malaise. However, the horrible Beirut Marine Barracks bombing, soft immigration policy and the Iran/Contra debacle definitely tarnished Reagan’s legacy, no doubt.
OTOH, PDJT motivated me to leave the RAT party after 38 years and I cannot wait to cast my popular Maryland vote for his reelection. I love my POTUS and feel he has been as close to perfect as possible even under the harshest of circumstances. He is absolutely a “stable genius” and we ought to be grateful to God for guiding him to run for office and sacrifice a life of leisure for all of us!!
We unequivocally cannot spare this amazing man and be taken to ruin by Sleepy Joe and company, who obviously hate our Republic.
Finally, I often think of that famous photo of Trump and Reagan shaking hands at the White House—and cannot imagine any third man of such stature among us who could perhaps attempt to bail us out of whatever devastation the lunatic left might wreak if God forbid the worst happens in November.
Ok. But look at it this way. Guess what happened in 1992 when all those illegals became citizens? Clinton! I agree Reagan was good, but great? He’s no trump for sure!
If the worst happens in November, I’d say check mate. It’s over! I don’t say that lightly. My first presidential vote was George HW Bush in 1988 at 19 years old. Meh!
President Trump sometimes (okay, often) says or tweets silly things. Don’t pay any attention to what he says.
But his actions puts PDJT into the ranks of the elite. Let history judge him.
