Anywhere from $250 to $500 for a decent one. Or you could just go with a plate carrier.

It can range from $150 to $1000 but it’s like buying a parachute. Do you really want a cheap one?

What does a bulletproof vest cost?


It varies based upon need.

Just buying “armor” is hard. There are different styles, functions, protection levels, sizes, shapes, etc. A person would need to study up a little prior to purchasing.

For example, I have LVL III, IIIA, and UHMWPE (III) armor that I use for different purposes during different roles with my work and I use different carriers, too. Some carriers have side plates, too, so there is that to add on.

(Lately, I have seen that there are a lot of Google search options that are just simply GOUGING people on price.)
