In Support Of Black Lives Matter, Let’s Defund CardiB, LeBron James and Jimmy Kimmel
Outkick ^ | August 8 2020 | Jason Whitlock

--SNIP-- COVID-19 and Black Lives Matter are helping rational people realize LeBron, Alyssa Milano, Lena Dunham, Steve Kerr, Amy Schumer, Colin Kaepernick, Aaron Paul, CardiB, Meek Mill and Jimmy Kimmel all need to shut up and entertain. They’re not thought leaders. They’re court jesters pretending to be world leaders.

Let’s defund them. Seriously.

I don’t want to eliminate them. I like to be entertained. I just think it’s a huge mistake to pretend CardiB is important. She’s a stripper-turned-rap music-pornographer. She’s Hugh Hefner, not Michelle Obama with a boobjob.

Let’s give entertainers a special designation in our tax codes. Tax their income at 80 to 90 percent. I’m serious. Entertainers embrace Marxism and socialism. Let’s give them the system they prefer.

Let’s take their tax revenue and invest in law enforcement and a criminal justice system focused on rehabilitation. With the extra tax revenue generated from the entertainment industry we could afford to pay and train law enforcement at a higher level. We would attract more qualified police officers. We could take the money from entertainers and dramatically improve how the criminal justice system treats George Floyd and Rayshard Brooks.

I repeat. I’m not being sarcastic.

We can call it the Black Lives Matter Tax Initiative funded by the American movie, television, music and sports industries.

Defund Entertainers! Black Lives Matter!

90% special tax for LeBron James, the NBA/NFL loudmouths and the America hating slimeballs of Hollywood? Put me down for that.

I say we all defund the cancel culture, woke activism and systemic racism lies in entertainment, government, professional sports, universities and school systems that breed this, and corporations who contribute to these anti American people and organizations. Let the woke snowflakes, the 13 percent and the Hollywood and democratic elites support all this. WE HAVE THE POWER! THE POWER OF THE PURSE! stop watching, stop contributing, stop purchasing

I don’t waste my time watching pro sports or barely conscious celebrities spew hatred for MY country. I get more pleasure in watching the beauty of God’s creation and spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The mind and soul is a terrible thing to waste on nonsensical entertainment.

It’s not even about that.
It’s about since they support Black Lives Matter and Marxism so strongly, let’s give them a taste of Marxism. Tax the sports and Hollywood millionaires at 90%. Sounds reasonable to me.

On the surface, this sounds warm and fuzzy. But if you are going to tax one group differently, then there will inevitably a change or creep or whatever based on how the wind blows.

No thanks. 10% tax. 7% fed, 2% state, 1% local. No exemptions. Live with it. This would force the government out of the stuff they do poorly.....taking care of the poor.

Corporate earnings taxed the same.....no exemptions.

I wouldn’t even argue for a corporate tax. Corporations don’t pay taxes. It’s an expense passed on to the consumer.

Friedman estimated that a 17% tax on income for everyone, no exemptions, no exceptions, would be enough to fund gov’t and would not distort the allocation of resources like the current tax code does.

"LeBron, Alyssa Milano, Lena Dunham, Steve Kerr, Amy Schumer, Colin Kaepernick, Aaron Paul, CardiB, Meek Mill and Jimmy Kimmel all need to shut up and entertain."

I wouldn't call what they do "entertainment."

I am all for it. They want socialism, let them have it.

Also, if they believe in redistribution of wealth, let’s take their wealth a redistribute it.

Wealthy liberal elites prefer to redistribute my income. They already have wealth so they prefer to redistribute other’s income. Let’s redistribute George Soro’s WEALTH, Bill Bates, Lebron, Kimmel, Warren Buffet, Hillary, etc. They’re not as big on socialism then.

In support of BLM? Why, when they don’t even know basic American History?

And if you’ve ever actually heard Cardi B expound on anything, you would experience a new low watermark of illiteracy among “celebrities. We already know what that culture is as we know she’s still there and functioned as some kind of hip-hop ghetto temporary icon who will get washed away in due time by the tides of “fashion” and replaced by some other just-as-bad idiot. We can only hope with the multiple cross currents now running into each other, and a new beginning in November and lots of PRACTICAL problems being addressed that the lofty status of this idiot subculture will be eroded, and the money flow trickle and finally stop.

CardiB would be a good running-mate for Joe Biden.

I don't know even one song of hers. But that's probably because of my age. I grew up on the Temptations, Percy Sledge, Sam Cook etc.
Be that as it may, she doesn't know much about history, political ideology or how the economy works.
She could concentrate on what she knows about, stripping and singing. She has no business telling anyone who to vote for.
