Someone who spent a lot of time in the middle east said that "Inshallah" translates to "Mañana", but without the Mexican sense of urgency.
It translates as If God wills it. It illustrates the totally fatalistic mindset of Moslems. Many pedestrians die because they just cross the street with that attitude- if God wills that I die in the street then I die in the street, if God wills that I get to the other side then I live. In Islam there is no cause and effect. God will each movement. In day to day life Moslems act as if there is cause and effect in some fashion else the whole culture would not have survived but in choices like crossing the street InshAllah.
