Ask those who are doing heroin, coke, crack, meth, etc and 99.9% of them will tell you they started off with grass.

Gateway drug...regardless of what various "enlightened progressives" might claim.

Not sure 1% is insignificant.

Marijuana has been shown to cause brain damage by major medical schools. It’s also been shown to cause lung damage...again,major medical schools.

“Ask those who are doing heroin, coke, crack, meth, etc and 99.9% of them will tell you they started off with grass.”

Most of them will tell you they started off with alcohol; what ought we do about that?

You have long been immune from evidence on this subject.

I've watched occasional users go to regular users and previously sober people show up loaded at work.

I've watched parents condone adolescent usage under the age old excuse "I'd rather them do it at home".

I've watched outdoor party spots move from littered with beer cans to more crowed pot parties, especially during COVID.

But you seem to judge reality based on self-reporting surveys.

The local governments are making a fortune from the taxes and the cartels haven't missed a nickel.....but you're waiting for data....

What evidence have you ever posted?

The Colorado Department of Public Health released the survey? Geez what’s not to trust about that?

Feel free to post better data.

Whether I post more reliable data or not, public health, public health officials and public health data have become corrupt.

I was just on a thread about Twitter denying any information about HCQ that doesn't come from "public health officials". So of course they don't allow any medical opinions that are pro HCQ.

The health-government complex is not reliable. That includes the Colorado Department of Health that is most likely part of that. You should acknowledge that.

I think I can say with certainty that Colt’s kids will not smoke dope

Where is Colt now a’days any way?

Colt? He’s in jail in Hawaii. Once drugs get you they never let go.

“Are we supposed to believe that adult usage skyrocketed but adolescent use remained flat?”

Why not? Pot use among adolescents in this CO town is not considered “cool,” or whatever term of approbation they are using this week. Even the little morons who vape are not vaping pot.

If you’re old enough, just think back to the way fans of the Doors and Hendrix regarded the rat pack and their drinking. Kids at Woodstock didn’t suddenly shoot bolt upright, shake their heads, and say, “What am I doing? I’ve got to get a tuxedo and a martini.”

Laws reflect the existing morals and attitudes of society. Laws do not, as statists/leftist believe, directly social-engineer behaviors.

As I keep on telling the potheads, there’s overwhelming evidence out there that dope causes major mental problems and brain damage, but they never listen. The synapses are gone. The first thing drug use does is overwhelm the portions of the brain used for self-control and reasoning, and then it is downhill from there.
