Close to 700 immigrants working in the U.S. illegally were detained last year during what federal prosecutors have called “the largest single-state worksite enforcement operation in our nation’s history.”
Now four higher-ups at the Mississippi chicken plants where they were employed face criminal charges.
The U.S. District Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Mississippi unsealed indictments Thursday against two supervisors at A&B Foods Inc. as well as a human resources manager and plant manager at Pearl River Foods Inc.. They are accused of hiring undocumented workers and lying to law enforcement, according to a news release.
“This office has a successful history of prosecuting employers for violating our immigration laws, and today marks another step in ensuring that justice is fairly and impartially done, no matter the law-breaker,” U.S. Attorney Mike Hurst said in the release.

During his first three years in office, Barack Obama conducted more work place raids and made more employer arrests than Trump did in Trump's first three years.
I have not seen any work place raid numbers for 2020, so I do not know how much (or how little) Trump has done in 2020.
Here in NJ some Dems are openly calling for COVID stimulus to be provided to illegals; these people who never paid a penny in taxes are supposed to be given tax revenue from working Americans?
This whole conversation is bizarre; NJ and neighboring NY have trafficked so many illegals here because the Americans are fleeing (especially young ones). The McJob economies caused by huge tax burdens on the employers who provided real jobs have destroyed these states.
During these Trump roundups this should be done.
Check the precinct list of registered voters where these people resided. If they’re on that list, Federal crime, charge them and those that enabled them to vote knowing they were illegals. If enough noise is made it should discourage illegals still here from voting. Besides determining how they got a drivers license.
Show how much it’s costing taxpayers of that state. Also point out increased premiums on drivers insurance rates. As well as demonstrate how that areas ,local ,state and federal taxes are increased by diverting educational, medical, food and housing allocations to meet illegal’s needs at citizen expense.
We had to send a couple people from the Corporate HR department to help with the hiring of replacement employees.
