.THE WHITE HOUSE (Gray DC) - In a broadcast exclusive, President Donald Trump tells Gray Television Washington Bureau Chief Jacqueline Policastro he’s ready to step in to provide another stimulus to Americans struggling during the coronavirus pandemic.
“The plague came in, and it’s not the people’s fault. So, we want to take care of them,” said Trump.
The president said he wants to extend the $600 weekly benefit to unemployed Americans.

Do you think people on unemployment should continue to get the extra $600 each week?
President Trump:
Yeah. I want to get them. I want to get them a lot. It's not their fault. It's China's fault that this whole thing happened. We were setting records. We were doing unbelievable business. It was an incredible thing, we've never done so well. Breaking records on employment, on the stock market, although the stock market's almost what it was, which is pretty incredible in itself, but we were breaking every record you can do. And then this, the plague, I call it the plague, came in and it's not the people's fault. So we want to take care of them. Really good. Take care of them very well.

Where’s the commercial or video showing a toddler happily playing suddenly being demanded to pay its thousands of dollars share of the national debt ? When the toddler breaks into screaming” HOW COULD THEY DO THIS TO ME ???” in tears ?

At some point we are just going to roll out Universal Basic Income. I hate to be Eeyore, but paying people to stay home really is not the way out of this...Yes, many people need the support, a crutch to get them through the hard times, but...many are milking this for all it’s worth. Typical government program...Again, if it costs another 3 trillion to get Trump elected, well worth the cost, but...eventually we will all pay.

It’s ok. Think of it as insurance. If you were not working you’d get the 600.
So, you believe paying people more to sit home than work is a good thing? How long do you think we can afford to do this? Who do you think is paying for this generosity by our politicians?

There’s around 90 days to go till an election and he doesn’t have time to fix everything. Think of it as a punt. Fixing our budget and our society is a project for 2021 and beyond.
If the Dems continue to obfuscate he should issue an executive order. The Dems will sue him. News that the Democrats sued to stop you from getting your $600 will be campaign gold.
Yes I understand. My point is that the process is easily falsified.

A lot of those businesses are closed because they can’t hire people.
This is a lesson in the most fundamental aspect of economics. Supply comes before demand. Money without products to buy is as useful as tits on a boar.
One of my sons is married with a 2 month old daughter. His wife has been waiting two months for her FMLA to kick in. That’s where our extra cash has been going, we’re just one of millions in that situation.
It’s easy to fraudulently apply, then assuming it’s granted, commit additional counts of fraud for each subsequent week. Just lie.
But they are checking applications and there’s hotlines for the Karens. I sure as hell wouldn’t risk it.

Meanwhile others have been getting $1200 for every two weeks for quite awhile.

Of course. And most of them ALSO got the $1200 direct payments.
What they weren’t getting is the health and retirement benefits they had during employment. If they were trying to keep up their COBRA payments and still trying to contribute to their 401Ks that extra $600 -which is gone now- didn’t go far.
When I was unemployed I had to cash out my 401k plan until there was nothing left.
Not if it makes it more profitable to NOT work than to work. And all benefits should cease if workers are called back to their job and decline to return.
Lots of people did that.
They’re going to find a lot of very pissed off, very well-armed, people disagree rather strongly. This is the last stand for liberty - and it isn’t going down without a fight. If it does, welcome to Prison Planet.
