The world’s largest dataset on patients who have undergone sex-reassignment procedures reveals that these procedures do not bring mental health benefits. But that’s not what the authors originally claimed. Or what the media touted.
In October 2019, the American Journal of Psychiatry published a paper titled “Reduction in Mental Health Treatment Utilization Among Transgender Individuals After Gender-Affirming Surgeries: A Total Population Study.” As the title suggests, the paper claimed that after having had sex-reassignment surgeries, a patient was less likely to need mental health treatment.

But it’s actually worse than that. The original results already demonstrated no benefits to hormonal transition. That part didn’t need a correction.
So, the bottom line: The largest dataset on sex-reassignment procedures—both hormonal and surgical—reveals that such procedures do not bring the promised mental health benefits.
In fact, in their correction to the original study, the authors point out that on one score—treatment for anxiety disorders—patients who had sex-reassignment surgeries did worse than those who did not:

You don’t treat junkies by giving them heroin and you don’t treat alcoholics by giving them booze. Same thing applies here. You need to treat the problem, not the symptoms.
There’s plenty of evidence from decades of plastic surgery in general. Outcomes depend on the expectation of the patient. I imagine most trans people are orders of magnitude more mentally disturbed than Beverly Hills mavens going in.
Politics has created misery and death for a lot of people who are sick and need good treatment. Outlawing treatment for homosexuals who desire to leave that lifestyle, by their own choice, is beyond evil. One more in a long, long line of reasons to get government the hell out of healthcare . . . they do far more harm than good.

I am absolutely convinced thru my experience, trial and error, time after time, and the statistics prove liberals are nuking futs!.
Exactly, imagine what it’s like to look at your mutilated body and coming to the realization you are just as miserable as you were before.
In every generation there are a group of youths which don’t fit into society and they try to find something to fit in with. When I was young it was Punk Rock, then it was the Goth scene (and if any of those “Goths” had seen an actual Visigoth they would have turned into a puddle of tears and eyeliner). Now, for whatever reason, transsexuality is the weirdness of the day. The difference is that punks or goths could get their hair cut, change clothes and go on with their lives. You go get replumbed and you aren’t coming back from that.
No psychologist would say that running away from who and what you are is mentally healthy. Gender reassignment is an illusion because a person’s sex cannot be changed any more than you can change a pig into a swan. You can only change some of the more obvious surface appearances using hormones, and if a transgender “woman” stops taking them he’ll just revert back into a man again (with his pecker cut off).
Transgender surgery - outside of people who are hermaphrodites is just unethical, period.

Having your johnson cut off doesn’t make you feel better?! Who knew.
They soon find out that “cis-gendered” people may be forced to call them by new pronouns, but can’t be forced to want to date them.
I’ve known (well) 2 individuals that had the male to pseudo-female surgery. One committed suicide. The other one seems to be doing ok.
