Nunes: Carter Page FISA Redacted To Hide Part Steele Dossier Played, Cover Intel Agencies

House Intel Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) said a large amount of the FISA warrant to surveil Carter Page has been redacted to cover up the involvement of the Steele dossier and has nothing to do with national security. In an interview with Tucker Carlson Wednesday night he said the public has a right to see the redacted pages and the part the Steele dossier played.

TUCKER CARLSON, FOX NEWS: Well, the Carter Page FISA application has been released in part. Big portions of it, though, were redacted and those portions could help reveal the extent to which the Obama administration surveilled the Trump campaign, which they did.

Congressman Devin Nunes is the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. He represents California in the House of Representatives and he joins us tonight. Mr. Chairman, thank you for coming on. REP. DEVIN NUNES (R), HOUSE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN: Great to be with you.

CARLSON: So, you've seen the entire document, the entire application - FISA applications to spy on Carter Page and then the Trump campaign. Much of it was redacted, pages and pages redacted.

Do you believe knowing what was redacted that the public has a right to see that information?

NUNES: Absolutely. So, what we heard for a long time is that the memo that we created to make sure that the American public knew that the FISA contained the Steele dossier, or the so-called dirt that the Clinton campaign paid for, bought it from Russians, fed it to the FBI in order to get a FISA warrant on Carter Page, we said that that made up the bulk of the FISA.

The proper use of security classification is to protect intelligence sources and methods. Since everyone already knows the Hillary-paid-for Steele dossier is the primary source, they only thing they could be protecting is that it is the only source and they had absolutely nothing else.

Also, is this the PDF file that you just had to highlight everything and copy the text to get what was redacted? The redaction bars were just images added on another layer rather than actually removing the text from the file.

CIRCA 2017 FISA Report Confirmed:
Obama Admin Sent FISA-Obtained Info on Americans to Non Government Entities
We Still Don’t Know Whose Data Was Sent to What Companies

The Hill ^ | 2/24/2020 | Joe Hoft / FR Posted on 2/24/2020, 1:16:05 PM by bitt

A stunning April 2017 report from the FISA Court received no publicity until nearly a year after it was released to the public. The report covered results of an investigation or audit into FISA searches made by Obama’s NSA, FBI and DOJ during Obama’s time in office. On April 26, 2017, an unsealed FISA Court Ruling unveiled a number of criminal activities that Barack Obama’s FBI, NSA and DOJ participated in during his time in office. The report was actually completed before the 2016 election.

The FISA Court Ruling showed widespread abuse of the FISA mandate. According to the report, Obama’s FBI, NSA and DOJ performed searches on Americans that were against their 4th Amendment rights. This went on for years. One paragraph in the report states that 85% of the Section 704 and 705(b) FISA searches made during the time of the audit (a few months in 2015) were non-compliant with applicable laws and therefore criminal.

In addition, Obama’s DOJ and FBI were illegally searching Americans against their rights. Unbeknownst to most Americans, Obama’s FBI was providing this information to outside contractors who had no business or legal cause or claim for the information. A review of the report showed on page 19 that the Court stated that Obama’s NSA had an institutional “lack of candor”.

LINKED Below is the 99-page report released on April 26, 2017 in an unsealed FISA Court Ruling.
2016 Cert FISC Memo Opin Order Apr 2017 (4) saved by the Sinclair Broadcast Group on Scribd) 1 of 99 pages

Rogers is also suspected of telling President-elect Donald Trump that he was being spied on in a meeting shortly after his election win in November 2016. The level of corruption within Obama’s NSA, FBI and DOJ is shocking. To date no one has been charged with crimes or is serving time as a result of the many crimes committed by this group of government hoodlums. We still don’t know what companies were receiving personal information on which Americans during the Obama years.

It’s been more than four years!!! (Excerpt) Read more at thegatewaypundit.com ...

85% of NSA searches by Obama Were Illegal
Susan Rice was colluding with Obama to set-up the shady operation

Freedom Outpost ^ | 01-24-2018 | Tim Brown / FR Posted 1/24/2018 by ReformedMedia

CIRCA 2018---In trudging through the FISA document that came to light, it was discovered that Obama's National Security Agency (then-headed by Susan Rice) had been illegally conducting searches on people in the US. The document has gone on to state that those illegal searches, which were conducted under Obama amounted to a whopping 85% of the total searches involving US person identifiers.

Circa 2018 Devin Nunes: ‘Fourth bucket’ of classified emails show info withheld from FISA court
Washington Examiner ^ | November 18, 2018 01:25 PM | Updated Nov 18, 2018, 06:00 PM | Daniel Chaitin
FR Posted on 11/18/2018, 10:22:16 PM by E. Pluribus Unum

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., revealed the existence of a “fourth bucket” of information related to potential misconduct by the FBI that he wants declassified.

On his way out as chairman, as Democrats will take control of the House next year, Nunes said his panel’s investigation into the Justice Department and FBI is largely complete. Still, he said the public release of these “buckets” would help give his efforts a sense of “finality.”

Speaking with anchor Maria Bartiromo on her Fox News program “Sunday Morning Futures,” Nunes said the first of three “buckets” were the Russia-related documents President Trump walked back from declassifying earlier this year.

The last tranche of documents, he said, pertains to emails showing knowledge about withholding information from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court.

“The new fourth bucket that we’re asking to be declassified now is — for months we have been reviewing emails between FBI, and DOJ, and others that clearly show that they knew about information that should have been presented to the FISA court,” he said.

Nunes added that House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., has been pressing the Justice Department to hand over emails and make as many public as possible. As has been a point of frustration in the past, Nunes complained that the DOJ has redacted some information, even in classified settings.

“We continue to work with the DOJ on ensuring Congressional oversight requests are fulfilled,” Ryan spokeswoman AshLee Strong told the Washington Examiner in an email.

A spokesperson for the Justice Department did not immediately return a request for comment.

I will never, ever, never never ever understand why Trump lets that ride along. Never.

John Durham has the unredacted version.

Supposedly Durham isn't indicting anybody before the election.

The voters need to see the unreacted version before the election.

Oh, good grief! This type of misinformation is why the breadth and scope of this domestic political spying mosntrosity continues to be misunderstood. Susan Rice, as the national security advisor, had NOTHING to do with the National Security Agency. The latter NSA falls under the Pentagon, and was led by Admiral Rogers - who actually blew the whistle on illegal use of NSA (the latter) databases and tools by FBI contractors. These contractors “exfiltrated” and used unredacted information on US persons for political 9pposition research. ADM Rogers cut off their access, which is why the FISA court was turned to, using the spurious Steele dossier. Read Judge Rosemary Collier’s report on F*SA abuses.

"Supposedly Durham isn't indicting anybody before the election."

They always tell us that "the election is the final verdict by the voters"..., yet the evidence is being withheld from the voters "until after the election", so much for the constant refrain of "obstruction of justice", which is now being preyed upon the American people.

Yer kidding, right? If AG Barr was foisted upon Trump, and Barr hasn’t indicted anyone, Barr is covering for GOPers who were “illegally” unmasked and blackmailed into silence. There is no other plausible explanation for waiting this long to indict. McConnell is covering for blackmailed GOPers (perhaps himself).

About 2-4 mo. there was a thread here which indicated between 100 & 200 folks were illegally unmasked out of Samantha Powers ofc-no way Barr doesn’t know about this.

The country hangs in the balance.

Carter Page was the key to get President Trumps information.
The FBI gave the highest classification to Pages investigation,Title 1,that rating is reserved for terrorists.
That allowed the FBI to look at all of Pages contacts for his entire life as well as two steps further on every one ofthose contacts, which of course included President Trump.
That’s why Page was the key.
