Thats up to you. I went to 7 11 in an affulent neighborhood. 6 loud, local teen boys were ahead of me. Meanwhile, the worker and I were the only ones wearing masks. I asked him why dont you enforce the mask. He said they would bust up the place. Sad.
Yeah, I was thinking of the media’s “Saint Cuomo” when I wrote that.
When this began, I was designated shopper for myself and two others.
My mom, who’s in her 80s, terrified and cancer survivor.
My husband, who’s triple bypass, CHF, broken hip recovering and generally not doing so great.
I have my own “at risk” issues but somebody had to suck it up and go get food.
I have literally been out every day since this started, mostly with no mask, no hand sanitizing and no particularly concerned about how far apart I was.
And I’m fine, considering.
But my mom, ever-influenced by every new PANIC newscast, is now telling me I’m going to “get it”.
I think not.
Since the mandatory muzzle deal, though, I’m having flareups of my chronic bronchitis because I’m rebreathing all the time.
I would come see you and do stupid things to make you laugh.
I too am the designated shopper for similar reasons. I got it. Thankfully, my husband didnt get it.
I dearly hope it was not too awful and am very glad you’re better, now.
We tried food delivery service once. Didnt work out had to throw the food out.
I’m gonna get the “Karen treatment” but...
More important IMO than masking is sanitizing, or isolating your shoes.
Maybe there’s virus in the air that a mask may protect you from, but surely there is virus on the floor in that case.
You wouldn’t track mud into a house.
Gravity is the highest of Laws.
Take it as you wish, it’s meant with good intention.
*ew*
I have watched the local grocery store drones doing their curbside delivery shopping.
Just no.
I don’t want those people fingering my food at all.
I’m VERY picky about checking containers and such.
I was ill. We were desperate.
Because of the dogs, the shoes I wear outside never see the living areas.
I go upstairs, remove them and put on my slippers.
They stay there untouched until I leave the house again.
I do this because dog diseases can be tracked in on shoes.
:)
A friend who is a nurse at a hospital warned me about shoes. Said to spray them. Leave them outside.
Appreciate that.
Fortunately I’ve ‘changed my ways’ in the last several years and now have some who care for me.
A good feeling! “Do good: get good.”
:(
I would have shopped for you, if I could.
For some crazy reason, I never catch anything.
Ever.
/must have the regenerative/immune system of a....salamander
Quit being a baby.
I am thankful for that.
What you said broke my heart.
I will likely be the last one standing in my small family.
[And I would bet that the nursing home is hoping I just drop dead elsewhere, one day, instead]
:D
” dog diseases can be tracked in on shoes.”
Ha!
Never thought of that.
Parvo, Lepto, distemper, all manner of ecto/endoparasites.
Better crazy safe than sorry.
:)
Had no idea.
But I know I’m to lazy for a dog- much though I’d love one.
I have an unneutered male cat... I feed him when he wants.
At least you’re not tracking in the cat versions of all that.
:)
